At last! The truth about thongs! Not every woman likes them!
But every man does…on women
NOT so! I am not horribly anti-thong, but they don’t really work for most women. Little booty shorts, lace, satin, even plain cotton are all much better, in my opinion.
I know that I am not the only man who thinks so, too.
I’m right with you on that one SanguineSpider. As I said previously, only when I HAVE to, which is usually if I’m wearing a dress outdoors on a very windy day
If you get a thong that has well made seams, out of good material that isn’t too bunchy at said seams, it’s actually quite comfy. Check the stretchiness of the elastic, make sure it’s not too stretchy, or too taut. And, make sure you have enough material in the front to not have a “cameltoe” For me, a cotton crotch panel is a must. (Better for health reasons.)
It’s in how the thong is constructed, and designed. I’ve seen styles I wouldn’t wear, they’d be too uncomfy, they’d chafe in there.
One reason you males may not agree is that we females aren’t as…hairy on the rump, so it doesn’t get caught up in the material to poke inwards, and tickle our rectum.
FTR, they may go into the crack a little ways, but they don’t usually go in all the way. If they happen to (rare with a well made thong) I go to the ladies room and adjust them.
I prefer real silk or satin bikinis myself, but I’ve been known to wear thongs if I don’t want pantylines. (Or, when I had a period good old fashioned cotten breifs. I also wore them while recovering from my hysterectomy, they didn’t slide under the incision and chafe it.)
You can get silk and satin bikinis for fairly cheap these days. It’s a small conceit I allow myself at Penney’s sales sometimes. I also have polyester bikinis I got from the discount store.
Those are just for wearing every day. If it’s for seduction… I wear stretch lace boy shorts, tiny sheer thongs, nothing but perfume… you get the idea.
I thought that no underwear was a no-no because of hygene… I had a girlfriend who prefferred no underwear too. Seems it’s a womans thing, I haven’t heard of men going commando a lot. I mean sure, sometimes, but not a lot.
Hygiene (or lack thereof) has never been a problem for me, and I do happen to know a guy who “free-balls” all the time - he maintains it’s very comfortable for you guys.
No underwear with a dress or skirt is ok, the genetalia get more airflow, and this encourages good health. I believe, however, that no underwear is not a good thing with jeans/slacks etc. because of hygene.
Right, right, I was talking about clothing close to the body, especially non natural fibers like nylon. But isn’t it uncomfortable to wear a skirt with nothing underneath? I mean, the scottish do it, but it seams to me it’s calling for embarrasing situations.
Zabali_Clawbane - Not wearing underwear under jeans/slacks really is no different to wearing them. As you would change your underwear daily, you simply launder your jeans/slacks daily.
The difference is non natural fibers are not hygenic. That’s the reason to use cotton in undergarments. Jeans are cotton but it’s not as hygenic as the 100% cotton in undies. slacks come in all sorts of fabrics.
Yeah, if the material allows free air flow, but not all slacks/jeans do this because they aren’t cotton, or don’t have enough cotton content etc. Also what about non-menstrual seepage, and visible stains? Curious, does this happen? I don’t need to wear panty liners every day that isn’t a menstrual day, but plenty of women do. (I know some.) I’d imagine that it’s possible some women could leave a “wet spot” that would be visible?
Ok agreed Chavardz, but as I said before I have never encountered any problems over the past 10 or so years. I guess it’s a matter of each to their own. As long as one is stringent with their personal hygiene, I believe
Hmmm, also jeans are pretty thick too, so impede airflow. Or they are “too tight”. I’ve heard of women getting yeast infections from wearing pants that were tight, which impeded air flow. Guess panties create a “pocket” of air that lets the vagina breathe?
Well I’ve never noticed any “visible” wet spots… (OMG this topic is getting incredibly personal :o )… but I question how much air flow a pair of knickers or a tight-fitting G-string would allow under a pair of tight jeans or slacks anyway.
If the thong is constructed correctly, it won’t give you a “cameltoe” and will create a pocket of air for you. You can learn to judge whether or not it will do this in time, with experience. (Look at how the crotch panel is cut.)
I don’t wear “tight fitting g-strings” under clothes, if I do, they don’t stay on long, heh they are for “play” nudgenudge
I don’t wear tight crotched pants often. If I do, it’s for a short stint, and I go nude for a few hours afterwards to discourage infection.
Sometimes I’ll use some tea tree soap or lavender oil on my cloth when I cleanse myself “down there” too, just to make sure. Every once in a while, I’ll soak in a hot tub with a little sea salt, lavender and tea tree oil as well.
Yes, I sometimes wear G’s for “play” also… as for soaking in a hot tub, I do that each and every night before bed. I also shower every morning… I guess I spend half my life getting washed  But as I’ve said I have not suffered any infections in over 10 years, so in my book, it can’t be that bad.
