Thoughts on SciFi's Labor Day "Shark" Marathon!

I was a bit disappointed-only saw one old "Twilight Zone " episode-then they switched over to the most preposterous shark movies ever!
The “Sand Shark” movie was a low-rent version of “Jaws”-on Catalina Island! A new species of shark now “swims” through sand! The requisite number of dumb teenagers get eaten, and the corrupt concert promoter as well…pretty boooring. Next cam “Jersey Shore” meets Killer Sharks! Another retarded movie-but unintentionally funny-the “guidos” with their bulging muscles vs. the college kids-and everybody is getting eaten by sharks…good fun but stupid.
did anybody bother watching the rest of the garbage?

I watched parts of most of them. They’re total brain candy of course, no merit but fun. It’s like the writers sit down and try to figure out how many different ways people can get chomped.

“Ghost Shark” surprised me a little, I thought it was a rule that while kids may be in peril they don’t get eaten, and GS broke the “rule”.

The guy from “Haven” was in one of them, and of course had to crack a “bigger boat needed” joke.

One reason for the change may be that the old Twilight Zone series is available (I don’t know how completely) on Netflix streaming. That, plus the ratings Sharknado! and Shark Week pull in, would make a Sharkathon inevitable.
