I saw this on another message board I read, and was somewhat amused by the idea.
I will give $20 to the last person to reply to this thread, defined as the poster of the last reply in the thread after no one has replied for a week.
The offer is void if the thread is locked or otherwise interfered with by a moderator or administrator. The offer is valid only for subscribed posters who registered on or before 2006/03/20 - posts by any poster not meeting that requirement will be ignored when determining a winner.
I invite other dopers to contribute to the pool as well.
I promise not to interfere with the result by posting after the thread has sat idle for six days and 23 hours, and I ask any other contributors to promise the same. However, contributing to the pool does not disqualify you from winning.
Last thread like this got shut down by the mods. If that’s the case who gets the twenty bucks? The mod or the last poster to post before the mods shut it down?
I rather suspect they’ll consider this to be a “postcount padding” thread, since the only reason for posting is posting itself, rather than contributing content. But, that’s just my 2 cents. They might just allow it, in which case nobody better DARE post after me!
Speaking of “not fair”, you’re not allowed to post in this thread anymore. How do we know you’re not doing it just to keep from having to pay out, huh? Huh???
