bedtime. *** MWAH!***
Irk was irk. No excitement there.
That test I was stressing about last week? The one that was 35% of my grade for the class? Aced it, did manage to pull up to an A for the course.
Howdy Y’all! Home from evening prayer over to the church house. 'Twas a nice service as usual. Glad to be in da cave however. ‘Tis a balmy 77 Amurrkin out with a nice breeze, but looks like clouds of the rain variety are gatherin’. No prediction of rain by the weather PTB, so who knows.
Nettie yay for the A!
You know this place. We’re all about the puns and idle cheddar.
rosie we are on pins and needles.
I shall now surf teh intartoobz for a bit and then go beddy bye.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
I’m a whey for two days and my no-gouda fellow bear lets this place go bonkers.
My doc and I have been trying to nail down the right combo of meds for my thyroid for 15 years. Apparently the last adjustment went badly.
Yeah — but it all needed more
COWBELL!!!
I do that every day; its why I picked a shift that starts at 3pm. :p:p
Common curd-esy? ![]()
I a-Brie with you.
Cowbell? Maybe you need to go for a Walken.
Was s’posed to be up NYC today, but I’s sick. Respiratory. Coughing & hacking a lot. So I didn’t go, nor have I read much or retained, either. Below is as much catching up as I can do.
No, the other way, near the #1 state park in the nation, 'bout 1 hr from Buffalo.
Brew, you Hoser ![]()
Happy Thorsday!
It’s a dark 53 degrees outside, looks to be another pretty day with a high of 75.
I’m up earlier than I want, such is life when you have an old bladder.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 59 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 84, with fog this mornin’ followed by sun. I reckon I shall have to close up da cave windows and turn on the a/c before leavin’ for irk. I have been enjoyin’ the fresh air, but with mid to high 80s predicted over the next few days 'tis back to the a/c.
Spidey hope you’re feelin’ better today.
sari ain’t that the truth! My bladder has become a built in alarm clock.
OK, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
Is that an insult or a complement? ![]()
The trash is out on the curb for pickup (except for the pile in the car that I keep forgetting to clean out) and body is at irk. Otherwise just an anyrose Blurf.
Went to the Region soccer tournament meeting last night, took notes and asked a couple of questions, then signed up to referee 4 games this weekend. Maybe have 1-2 more, depending on schedule and need.
Weather appears to be cooperating, looks like 72F and clear for both weekend days. Perfect soccer weather. Now all I have to do is survive it…
Up, caffeinated, off again.
I had a doctor’s appointment at 3:15, and I needed the auto club to jump the battery and bring a couple gallons of gas.Since I don’t use the car very often, I remote start it every day to keep the battery charged. But I forgot to fill’er’up last time I was out, so the tank ran out and the car wouldn’t start anymore. He showed up, threw the couple gallons in the tank, and jumped the battery; and he helped me load Jazzy onto the lift.
I got to the doc’s, had my appointment, and went back to the car. I was low on spoons so I asked the first person I saw to give me a hand loading Jazzy. She wasn’t very good at it, and ran the Jazzy into the frame of the lift, popping two of the springs off (the springs allow the lift to fold up out of the way when not in use), and the battery was dead again.
I had to wait an hour for the guy this time; I asked him to try to reload the springs, but they’re heavy duty and tightly would and he couldn’t stretch them enough to put them back in place.
By now it was too late to get to my mechanic, so I put the springs in the car, had the guy help me load up the Jazzy, and I drove home gingerly and local streets, lest the lift collapse. I did remember to stop and fill the gas tank, so there’s that. The plan was to call my guy in the morning and have him come get the car and fix everything and bring it back.
By the time I got home, I was completely out of spoons. Fortunately one of my neighbors was outside, so he helped me unload the Jazzy. I told him my woes with the springs, so he got some tools, and was able to put the springs back in place. So YAY.
But I was completely wiped out. So I came in and went straight into bed. I fell asleep before I had a chance to change the channel over to the ball game, so I didn’t see the win. But I found out the Mets are moving on to the World Series at 2:00 am when Nature called, so that made up for my lousy day.
I’ve had problems with my car starting recently.
Have to take it to the mechanic at some point.
Other than that, things have been going all right. Still a bit nervous waiting for audition results.
Had a really nice band rehearsal last night.
Rosie hugs. I hear ya on the spoons. I need to find that piece and bookmark, so I can share it with people. Right now I plan ahead several days for what I will get done in a day. Go shopping or make some phone calls, for example. It’s embarrassingly small. Glad you survived the adventure intact.
Got child one off to school. Second child will be off shortly. Then it’s rest time, while I figure what else to do today. Grocery shopping I think.
Someone more cultured, say doggio, shall explain the reference.
WTF, you doing a “Weekend at Bernie’s” sequel?
I’d strongly recommend putting the body in the trash…or the concrete at your local under-construction stadium. ![]()
That bit of news made my day lousy. C’mon AL team (whichever one wins)!
Also, iffn it had to be jumped twice, in this weather, it’s quite probably time for a new battery. Unless you have a bigger issue w/ an electrical short somewhere. Get the battery tested…& back in for the time being.

I might actually get finished with my regular stuff sometime this week. I’m contemplating going to see a couple of friends play music this evening, but I’ve spent most of my entertainment allowance already this month and I don’t want to borrow from next month because I want to go see Neil deGrasse Tyson. I may wind up puttering around in the studio instead.
An architect saved me from having a panic attack last night.
Yes, my life is weird.
I’ll go work on a music arrangement now, and go downtown later today for a concert.
