Have to admit, never watched the show. So fuck me sideways, but the whole notion of these knuckle-dragging, ba-da-binging, mouth-breathing, shitheads having a show of their own makes me wanna puke.
Fuck them! Fuck the network who thought they were a story. Your dad’s in prison? Fuck him too. Fuck the whole gangster thing.
Fuck your love of things. Fuck your bling blings. Fuck you.
That’s seven ‘fucks’. Let’s make it eight - fuck the viewers who watch this shit.
Yeah, I’ve watched the show out of morbid curiosity. It’s about Victoria Gotti, (daughter of John Gotti, deceased) who is a successful journalist believe it or not. Her kids are complete and utter brats and thugs, though. She doesn’t see it either. She’s a divorced mother, who got a hefty divorce settlement, raising 3 sons who are spoiled rotten, and used to having anything they want. She wasn’t raised that way, but that’s how her boys have turned out. Or, at least that’s how the camera portrays them. Giving some benefit of the doubt, since there is heavy editing after all. Though I do believe they (her sons) recently had some fairly serious criminal charges pressed against them. I find myself watching snippets of it boggling from time to time if I’m late night channel surfing. It’s on A&E, and it re-airs late nights.
I’ve had the unfortunate opportunity to catch the show now and then. It amazes me how ignorant and ill-bred they all come across, especially the boys. On the website linked above, it mentions how they’re all honor students, or something to that effect, however, I have to wonder if it’s because they’ve actually earned the grades, or if it’s easier for the school system to slap an A on their transcript than it is to deal with In-Your-Face-Victoria.
My daughter says they’re poor white trash with money. Apparently money cannot buy class afterall.
And, by the way, where in the world is the boy’s father? He’s never been mentioned as far as I know. Can you imagine being their father, and watching the show, and seeing some of the stuff that’s shown?
You people are all dead.
I would just like to state for the record, that I love this show and the whole Gotti family and I think that it is beginning a fine tradition of rehabilitating the image of a proud family that has been brought into disrepute by anti-Italian-American mudslinging and overzealous prosecutors with similar ethnic prejudices.
I love this show and all associated with it.
You know who doesn’t? My ex-girlfriend. She hates it. I believe I heard her say, “Fuck the Gottis and fuck this show, fuckity-fuckity-fuck.”
Oh, and her address is… [deleted]
I’m actually directly related to these people-blood, in fact. Thank God I’m not like that.
John Gotti (before he died- obviously ) attended my grandfather’s funeral- escorted by two Secret Service agents since he was in prison at the time.
My Mom hates Victoria. Apparently, as kids and through adulthood, they NEVER got along. To this day, my Mom calls her “That stupid, spoiled, little bitch.”
Let me say, no one in my dark skinned, dark haired, Italian family should have BLEACH BLONDE hair. Jesus.
I humbly apologize for repeating Dmark’s thread title. Kindly regard it as a newbie’s inexperience.
I have had a few phone calls … just hang ups … but, upon further consideration, [sub]reads from prepared script[/sub] I feel that ‘Growing Up Gotti’ is probably the pinnacle of television broadcasting, and presents the Gotti family as the wholesome, healthy American family it is.
