Sorry, I meant “try to avoid credit”.
In any case, Normal’s arguments against me are stupid. I’m doing my best to change their mind, but it looks like we’re doomed.

I’ve having an unexpectedly rough afternoon, so I’ll just add to what I said before that Red Skeezix’ contention that my saying I wouldn’t do X or Y as scum or whatever it is is a scum tell is entirely baseless: the argument Giraffe made depended on meta-game issues, so meta-game issues were the only way to address it. His case is wrong.

vote: Red Skeezix
Gook luck town.
Whoops; just saw Normal’s post on preview, which made my whole post about the scum being able to force whatever tie they like irrelevant.
Never mind then!
Current vote count is:
Red Skeezix: 3 (Pleonast, Jimmy Chitwood, Normal Phase)
Pleonast: 1 (Hirka T’Bawa)
Normal Phase: 1 (Red Skeezix)
then, I believe, which is back to the way it was at last count? I’m cool with that.
Actually, I’m wrong - it’s still possible that the scum can force a coin flip, just less possible than 2-2-1. If Skeezix is scum and one of the Skeezix voters is scum, they can switch to a person with one vote and give scum a 50/50 shot at an instant win if they want, right? Normal could switch to Pleo or vice versa, and I could switch to either.
So a town Hirka should probably consider switching at this point. Right? Somebody check my logic on this.
At lynch or lose, any split of the town vote leaves us open to last-second vote switches. The risk isn’t so much scum going for a tie, it’s them going for the outright mislynch.
And, yes, a townie Hirka should either switch their vote, or be trying to get us (well, not me) to switch ours.
I’m out of the office due to the HVAC folks being at my place. The day will end as scheduled, but results may be delayed.
Red Skeezix: 3 (Pleonast, Jimmy Chitwood, Normal Phase)
Normal Phase: 1 (Red Skeezix)
Pleonast: 1 (Hirka T’Bawa)
Votes will be final when Day 5 ends today at 4pm CST, ~45 minutes from now.
Long day at my rotation, and only option to read the sdmb is my phone. Makes it hard to post. I still have doubts about red being scum, but the only one here who I mostly trust is Jimmy. And if be wants me to switch my vote, I’ll go ahead and do it.
Red, here is to hoping you really are scum, And my initial thoughts were correct, and only my doubts were wrong.

I’ll switch to pleo, if there’s a chance of me not getting lynched. But you guys all made those plays mid day (when I’m at work and cant read the boards, so I had no time to react before you guys switched back).
I’m town and we’ve lost this game unless the voting changes.
Ghostly time check says, the day is over.
Which means the game is over. Sorry guys. couldn’t be around to say squat.
Scummers you can reveal yourselves now…
I was hoping to see the results before heading out for the weekend. Hope to see you all Monday.
Red Skeezix is led by the rest of the group to the Altar of Truth, and cast down upon it. As has become familiar, the shadows surrounding Red fade away, revealing the innocent face of a peaceful Bolken.
Pleonast grins broadly, and calls out: Ancient spirits of evil… transform this decayed form to Mumm-Ra, the ever-living!
Normal Phase laughs, “ooo ooo ooo, we’ve sure got them now, boss!”
Pleonast, Mumm-Ra, and Normal Phase, Monkian, bear down on the two remaining goodly people. Maniacal laugher fills the cavern as Hirka T’Bawa, a Wollo, and Jimmy Chitwood, Ro-Bear Bruce are flung unto the Altar and banished forever.
The evil team has won the game!
Yay!
Spoilers for the game are now available at:
Congratulations to the Evil team on a game well played, and thanks to everyone who participated. It was fun!
Well played, bad guys! I’m still kicking myself for switching my vote away from Pleonast back on Day two. :smack:
Good playing Normal and Pleo!
I figured it out at the end, once I started paying attention. Sadly though, this is my last game on this board, since I do my best mafia thinking while trying to avoid working at work.
Also, what pleo has been scum 3 games in a row on this board now?
well done, scum
God, what a day. LYLO here and mid-getting-lynched elsewhere, all at once, plus family issues.
This game was ridiculously relaxed for me on the whole, which is a rarity for me as mafia; it probably helped a little. I don’t think we could have beaten you on your best game, Red, you’re too good at this.
Thanks, Pleo and Inner (and fluid); it was fun.
