In the Qatar royal family, there is the unfortunate name-title combo Sheikha Mayassa. (Google it if you don’t believe me.) Kinda like the well-known Texas philanthropist Ima Hogg–nice lady, bad name.
The only really bad names I’ve encountered personally were Princess and Precious, twin girls. They’d be in high school now. I wonder how they’re faring.
On a recent cruise a comedian was going around the audience and making conversation with and fun of several people, until he came to this one girl. Her name was Brooklyn. He assumed that she had been named after the NYC borough, but no, her name was actually spelled “BrookeLynn”, after some soap opera character. He then asked her last name, and it was Beavers. So a woman from Ohio named her daughter Brooklyn Beavers.
The comedian made a comment about his show taking place during the family hour and would the two of them like to come back for his midnight performance.
To be fair, with a last name of Beavers, pretty much any first name is going to be a problem.
Tangent for an unfortunate product name – antiacid called AcipHex. But the way they pronounce the “A”, it totally sounds like Ass Effects.
Oh, and in the vein of combined unrelated name syllables into a new and different name:

I’ve mentioned him before, but there is an attorney in town whose name is Precious Martin.
“Him”? Did he become a lawyer in order to be able to sue his parents?
They are a very interesting family. He has 3 younger brothers who are triplets. These triplets are also attorneys. They are the first set of triplets to graduate from the University of Mississippi School of Law. They also all passed the state Bar exam, and on October 12, 2004, they were sworn in as the first set of triplet attorneys in America.
We’ve got a patron at my library named Notorious. There’s also at least two named Precious, and several other unfortunate names.
