**Bumba **- HH lasagna is ground beef and red sauce with short little curly pasta pieces in it. In no way does it resemble the wonderfulness that is lasagna, but it’s not bad as a quick pasta dish. Not great, but not bad. It helps if you add chopped onions and mushrooms to it.
Very dreary and overcast this morning, but they’re promising sun and much warmth - like enough that we may have to close up the house. Dammit. But it is summer, I guess.
And I should have known that the SiriusXM app that I was able to download is going to cost $5/month after this first month trial. So it’s going away as soon as I get home and call them. I don’t spend enough time in the car to justify the subscription, so I intend to cancel it when this term is up. No way I’m going to pay for something I’ll never use.
Tonight, the critters go to the vet. Catching Ziva will be an adventure…
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out and cloudyish with a predicted high of 89 and possible rain/tstorm/apocalypse this afternoon and evenin’. TWPTB say it will be like that the rest of the week. We shall see. Not a lot on the agenda today. Need to do a few things around da cave and this afternoon is Maxine’s funeral service where I shall have ush duty. I think we shall have a McSup this evenin’.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy is hungry. Then, onward into the day. Rah.
Morning all. 72F but only going to the low 80’s thanks to a late tunder-boomer coming through last night and more rain is in the forecast for this ay-em.
May make a couple of return visits to shops today, or maybe Thorsday.
World Cup starts tomorrow! I might be the only Mumper excited about this fact, but looking forward to it (rooting for Iceland to do well).
OK, need to be inter-netting and foraging for food here shortly.
Doubled yesterday and will do the same tomorrow; today I need to stop past the funeral home for a co-workers mom. So all in all not a banner week. But Monday we head for Maryland (I think) and fun from there on so I’m making it.
Blurfage Irking and we are super busy which is normal for June. In fact, we sell more tickets in June and July than in Feb or March which is really busy season. I guess more Floridians come here in the summer.
Looks like I need to buy a new washer. The tech said the computer card needs to be replaced, and there’s no telling if there are other problems till that’s done. The card itself is $300, not counting labor, so I need to find a new machine.
Dammit.
And I can’t shop today because I have to take the critters to the vet.
Howdy Y’all! I have not been a complete sloth. I did go out to purchase comestibles. Go Me! Rain has held off so far. Maybe it will hold off at least until after Maxine’s funeral. She is to be interred in the columbarium so I hope rain holds off until at least after that.
GMOOOOOOM it is always sump’n. Or as a lady, who was obviously havin’ a bad day, once said to me in a laundromat, “If it ain’t one thing it’s sump’n worse.” Words to live by!
It was the Sirius XM app - they emailed me a link and said I could download it, but they failed to mention in the email that there would be an additional charge. We already have it in the cars, but, by golly, they’re going to get every penny they think they can…
Shortly, we’ll try to corral Ziva. And if it’s a quick vet visit, we’ll head to Lowe’s to get the washer. Otherwise, I’ll get it tomorrow.
Just got back from taking the boys to the vet for their shots.
Made me think of the old adage: “*This is * my circus and these are my monkeys!”
Waiting to see if it’s really gonna rain like they said it would or if I need to water the termaters and eggplants out front. We don’t get enough sunlight in our back yard to grow veggies properly so we moved a cold frame out to the front yard for that purpose. It may look a little odd, but the neighbors are fine with it and so far the city hasn’t come around and told us we couldn’t do that.
I’m almost recovered from my adventure with the puppers so I guess I’ll get mounted up and go to the store.
We have another damned mouse, and this one is brazen, or stupid.
It ran across the kitchen in front of us, then ran across the living room almost over my son’s foot.
Now he just came strolling out in the middle of the living room like he owns the place.
Ripple saw him and went over to investigate, I told him to ‘get em’ and the chase was on.
Too bad Ripple can’t fit under the couch.
Howdy Y’all! Home from funeralizin’ and socializin’ afterwards. The ladies of the church put on a nice spread so no need to stop and sup. Win-Win! Also, the rain held off until after Maxine was interred. Yay for that as well.
Bumba at the house I grew up in there were two biiiiiiiiiig planters right beside the front steps (on either side of the steps). The Summer I turned twelve I asked mom if I could plant sump’n in the planters and she said sure. You’d think she would have known better right? Anywho, I planted two aigplant bushes (or whatever one calls 'em) in each planter. We had a LOT of aigplants that year. I thought they were kinda pretty but mom told me from henceforth only flowers were to be planted. Bummer. I had visions of okra as my next project.
metal mouse, all of your remodeling sounds good to me but the carpet. If I had my way, I would have hardwood or linoleum floors throughout as they’re easier to take care of.
RIP Moooooom’s washer.
I stopped at CVS to pick up a prescription this afternoon and while I was there, I picked up some TP from the Tar-jay where it’s located. Which led to having to do the toilet paper math. What is this where they have 18 rolls =82 rolls and other nonsense? Just tell me how many flippin’ sheets are in the package so that I can calculate the price per sheet fer cryin’ out loud! Meanwhile, I now have enough TP for ~4 months.
