Time for a picnic in the MMP!!

{{Cupcakes & Mauser}}

I moved 7 or 8 lilies, then had a nice shower. And I apparently fell asleep in front of the TV - guess I was tahred. :smiley:

**FCD **had a hankerin’ for steak, so we went to Texas Roadhouse for a late lunch/early supper. Since coming back, apart from taking the laundry off the lines, we’ve been chilling. I may move a few more lilies tomorrow, but for tonight, I’m done. And I’m thinking of sleeping with Mel tonight. We shall see…

First ----------- hugs for Mauser. I would make them fancier hugs but I am on some hotel PC and Windows — in other words my fuzzy little Apple Brain is out of its element.

Mooom – I am in Prince George County with the OW (who I hate for getting Death Pool points before me) and 596 of our nearest and dearest friends; some of whom we actually know. Expect your property values to go down for the next couple days before we move on to destroying CVirginia. Just ate at the Nautilus Diner and am shortly going into a food coma. Already having much fun but I think this is going to be a long hot Convention with some serious temps. So I may find connections like this and check in from time to time.

In other words ---- having wonderful time, glad Flytrap isn’t here.
Although earlier today when I was standing :eek: at the top of the lifthill of the one coaster and there were no safety belts or anything ------------ just saying.

Be careful in PG county! I hear bad things on the news about that place!! :eek:

We are in a very nice area not all that far from the ballpark. Some friends are in a seriously not good area and hiding in their rooms. It may be not all that far from where we stayed for the memorial all those years back. I can still remember everyone basically looking askance when we mentioned the location – they were right We have already been warned about Six Flags and plan on some defensive postures like leaving most of what we can under lock and key off-site. One of the advantages of being here with a convention.

It’s my Firday!!!:smiley: Making Cajun style Bachelor Cow with sausage and shrimp. Drinking Yuengling. Listening to The Dead South on YouTube. Life is good.

Two engineers in a house, and they still have to add water to the drainage ditch?:dubious:

{{{{CupCakes & Mauser}}}}

Welcome back, WetOne. I’ve always been more Irish at heart(I still lobe my Scottish friends, though)

Enjoy the trip. Nut!

Glad you’re enjoying your convention, Ruble. I’m counting down till mine. :slight_smile:

**doggio, **the ditch has been seeded and we’d kinda like the grass to grow. :stuck_out_tongue:

Butters, I fly from Huntsville to Detroit early in the morning (about a 90 minute flight) and then twiddle my thumbs in Detroit for 3.5 hours (Maybe I’ll ride their indoor train back and forth: ExpressTram - Wikipedia). From Detroit I’ll fly straight to Beijing, about 13 hours flight time. Arrive in Beijing at 2:45PM local time on the 22nd (they’re about 11 hours ahead of us, so it’ll be early morning on the 22nd here).

Which reminds me, need to schedule a cab.

Mickey D’s provided dinner, I am trying to clean out my refrigerator so that by Wednesday night there is nothing I need to throw out. We shall see.

{{{baker and Mauser}}}

Had a good dinner with SIL and our friend. The venue where the band was has a lousy sound system, but it was fun anyway. I tried a new beer, All the F*@#’n Berries - Mayday Brewery - Untappd and it was pretty tasty . I may be back there next Friday evening to hear one of the band members’ solo performance.

Nelson was happy to see me when I got home and is cuddled up in my arms as we speak. He gracefully accepted Mauser’s skritches. :slight_smile:

Deja vu, except we flew from next to a runway.

Mel kept me knocked out all night, so yay! I’ve tended to the critters, the dishwasher is running, and I’m breakfasting. The windows are open, but they’ll be closed soon as we head to near 90° today.

I may or may not move some more lilies today - I’m a little achy since yesterday, but not too terribly. I may also help **FCD **move some machine parts that are quite heavy. Mostly, tho, I don’t think I’ll do much.

So far, I’m liking my new washer. The default setting is our normal quick-wash, and it takes 28 minutes according to the machine timer. But I ran a load for FCD’s shop rags - he wanted hot wash, extra rinse, extra spin - and it took nearly 2 hours. That’s a pretty extreme case, but it’s nice to have the option. And the drum is huge!! It should handle our comforter easily. I’m going to try the steam setting on our pillows. They could use a little freshening.

And that’s the news from LaundryLand. Happy Sunday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out and rainy with a predicted high of 89 and probable rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. All kinds of red stuff on the radar northwest of us, so who knows. Today’s plan is to deheathenate, and then have N.O.L. at da cave which shall consist of grilled chikin strips, green beans, mac 'n cheese, rolls and ‘nanner puddin’. YUM! The ‘nanner puddin’ got made last night (it’s the non cook kind), the green beans got cooked, and the mac 'n cheese was made up. Won’t take long to grill the chikin, bake the mac 'n cheese and rolls, and heat up the green beans. After that chillage ensues. If’n the rain holds off, maybe even some quality cee-mint pond time.

To all the Mumper daddies…

** HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!**

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands to be fed. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Feeling better this morning. I stayed up til 6:30last night, slept for 2 hours, got up and read, then back to,sleep,at 10:30. Slept til 5:30this morning, which is when I get for irk. Which Imhave to go back to tomorrow. Ick. More laundry today. It’s going to be hot, in the 90s. I will visit Ariel,this afternoon. She essentially went feral while I was gone. Girlfriend needs a manners refresher.

Blurf. Awake but that’s about it so far.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. For Father’s Day, Alex Catt and Gordie have had a Hornk Fest.:smack::dubious:

So wild horses are gonna drag you away?:smiley:

Also:

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!

I went out a little bit ago to move the sprinkler to the rest of the lilies I transplanted yesterday, and they were DUG UP!!! :eek: All 3 were lying on the ground, roots exposed, and the holes were empty! I’m assuming it was an animal and not some stupid person.

They’re all replanted and they’re being soaked down as I write this. If they die, well, they’re just wild lilies, so it’s not like I spent money on the bulbs or anything. Still, it ticks me off!

And A happy Father’s Day to all Father’s out there.

Up and refreshed, might even do some house cleaning (after reading the paper and solving the Sudoki’s, of course). Hot but rain is forecast today or tomorrow, so I have that to look forward too.

FCM, my washer tends to run forever, but like yours, the tub is so big I don’t know if I could ever fill it.

wetone, ick on irk, and I hope Ariel remembers whcih side her oats are buttered on…

Happy Father’s Day! to all of the Mumper daddies.

Up, caffeinating and fixing to take coffee out to the patio.

My toaster died while fixing breakfast this morning. It was a quarter of a century old, so I feel that I got my money’s worth out of it. It does mean that I will have to hit Tar-jay or some such place this week to replace it though.

My mother has a toaster she still uses occasionally, one that was a wedding present! There is a new toaster however, but that the old one still works, is amazing. At the 50th and 60th wedding anniversary celebrations my parents had, the toaster had a place of honor.

Wild lillies, we’re gonna drag you away.:smiley:

I just got off of the phone with Mauser’s vet. He told me the antibiotic shot has really helped, his temperature is down two degrees, and already the redness in his ears is much abated. I can take him home tomorrow afternoon, as the vet says he is feeling much better already. He will get some oral medication but that won’t be difficult, Mauser eats anything. So If I put it in a piece of cheese of a dab of peanut butter, down the hatch it will go. The vet already sent out samples of the material in his ears, for a culture, to get further info.

I’m so greatful to have a good vet and a good dog.
