Time to Prep for Fantasy Baseball

What services are you using?

In particular, whose depth charts are you finding to be the most accurate?

I like to look at mock drafts the most. I like to look at as many mocks as possible. I have already drafted a team on ESPN. I usually play Yahoo!, but ESPN has auction, which I was interested in. Also, the drafts are sign up and draft at ESPN, but you have register weeks in advance at Yahoo! The thing about ESPN that I don’t like is that the public default leagues are only 10 teams, which is too shallow, IMO. I only play roto; I only like H2H in football. Here is my first teams’ roster, FTR:

Position players: Chris Ianetta, Albert Pujols, Dustin Pedroia, Kevin Youklis, Rafael Furcal, Carlos Quentin, Jayson Werth, Shane Victorino, Brad Hawpe, Jose Lopez, Elvis Andrus, Carlos Delgado, Mike Cameron

Pitchers: Dan Haren, Zack Greinke, Hiroki Kuroda, Mark Buehrle, Chris Carpenter, David Price, Fransisco Rodriguez, JJ Putz, Joakim Soria, Kerry Wood, Hong-Chih Kuo, Chris Ray

Anyone listen to ESPN’s fantasy podcast? Are there any good fantasy baseball podcasts out there?

My question is - 3 of your best players are first basemen (unless Youkilis moves to 3B). How would that play out?

I just drafted a team in my public Yahoo league and it looks like this. Opinions are appreciated:

Bengie Molina, Aubrey Huff, Dustin Pedroia, David Wright, JJ Hardy, Matt Holliday, Vernon Wells, Raul Ibanez, Randy Winn, Joe Mauer, Jim Thome, Troy Glaus, JD Drew

Roy Halladay, AJ Burnett, Francisco Cordero, Huston Street, Ryan Dempster, John Maine, Gil Meche, Mike Pelfrey

We use only the AL so I know little about NL players.

No one has a suggestion for the best depth charts???

Youk qualifies at 3B this year (because he played the minimum there last year). And while Delgado finished stronger than pretty much anyone out there, he’s still susceptible to slumps. Plus, you have 1B, 3B and a Util slot - so no problems.

As for depth charts, I use a variety. There’s not much variation out there.

Anyone have a subscription to fantasybaseball.com? I had an opportunity to write for them this year, but wanted some time off from the deadlines. I’d love to hear what people have to say.
