Time travel game - collaborate with your past self

This is so weird: solve a puzzle, with the help of your past self.

It’s both entertaining and bizarre. You get six time-limited tries to traverse a simple maze, but each subsequent stage includes the ghost of your past tries. Later stages require several collaborators, so you need to wait for your past selves to appear and help you out. It’s a really strange feeling, waiting for your past self to arrive, and getting pissed off with it for being slow or indecisive.

If anyone can get past level 15 I’d be grateful for advice…

Aha, done it!

Wow, that was pretty darned neat. It was weird at first, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Probably the most annoying part is when you have four or five other cursors crowding around the screen, and it’s hard to tell at a glance which one belongs to your present self.

Bizarre. I’ve only gotten to level 9 or 10, I think, because I’m dumb. I couldn’t figure out what was going on until about the fifth cursor, by which point I was cursing my previous attempts for being too slow.

But now I have a strategy…

The games blog jayisgames.com had a game design competition a while back with the theme “replay.” Many of the games used this same mechanic – travelling back in time to accomplish tasks that would otherwise be impossible. I remember really liking Time Bot

You get past level 15 by having a cursor push the button at the bottom of the screen on level 7 or 8 or so. The three buttons on level 15 have to be held at the same time as that earlier button for the final staircase to appear.

I did it in seven cursors and got 120 points. Beat that!

I used all my cursors, I think. But I got 125 points.

Maybe I’m dumb. How do you get past 10?

Click on the box…lots.

7 cursors and 125 points.

Tomorrow I’ll try for more points.

That’s SO fun.
