Suddenly, the time on all posts is an hour behind. This just started this morning (Sunday morning). Is this because of the time change in the US, and does the software for the Board think GMT set itself back an hour?
For instance, on the page, it says: All times are GMT +7. The time now is 06:30 AM. Um, no, I AM GMT + 7, but it is 7:30am, not 6:30am. again, the time showed correctly yesterday (Saturday).
EDIT: Southeast Asia never changes its clocks.
Go to your settings and see if you’ve checked the box that says “Adjust for DST.”
The time is accurate here in the UK (which also set its clocks back an hour).
Siam Sam, I presume it had to do with the fact that the Board’s servers might not have implemented the switch from Daylight Saving to normal time until that occurred in Chicago. Does it show correctly now?
ETA: mine does, now.
My posts are correct time. I’m not sure if there was some sort of early switch off summer time in the system or what. The few hours before and after the time switch get buzzy in several different realms. Doesnt’ seem to be a problem anymore?
It’s Monday morning now, and it’s showing correctly. I suspect it had something to do with the time change. The software seemed to think GMT was set back an hour, because GMT + 7 showed an hour off yesterday morning. Maybe it equates GMT with British time? Probably when Chicago made its change, the time snapped back.
I believe the SD server is on Mountain Time, though I could be incorrect. (It’s not geographically based in Chicago.)
It’s a bit to the west.
You know, just a jump to the left …
Not if you’re heading South… which, please and thank y’all not to.
Oh. Well.
Then it’s a step to the right.
(Get the fuck off the desk!)
Okay, well wherever it was, I suspect GMT and the time here snapped back to normal once it reached the time change there.
Will have to investigate this next time change.
