squeal of joy
I love Tintin! My screen name is one of Capt. Haddock’s insults.
So many questions…who will be cast? Will they make Tintin a young boy or a grown man (one of the eternal mysteries)? What will the story be? Will Professor Calculus be involved?
Thanks for the news, astro!
The question on my mind, though, will Tintin be an English-speaking Belgian?
Speilburg? Mille milliards de mille sabords de tonerre de Brest!
BTW, there are already two live-action movies out there.
Tintin et le mystère de la toison d’or

Bougres de zouaves!
Urm, that should be Spielberg.
Bachi-bouzouk!
This should be interesting; I am big fan of Tintin though it’s been a while since I have read any.
However IMO Tintin would work better as an animated film.(I think there was an animated TV series) Though if there is anyone who could make a live-action Tintin it would be Spielberg.
BTW has anyone seen the latest Asterix movie from France. How is it? I wish they would release it in the US.
The Asterix movies sucked. And I’m afraid what Spielberg will do with it.
However. There is a Swedish guy that MUST get the part. Check outthis photo. I know it’s from a Swedish newspaper, but Olle Sarri, who’s an actor, is so lifelike it’s scary.
Any guesses on who will play Tintin? I’m drawing a blank, but then I just woke up.
Ooh, I just clicked on the link, he makes a great Tintin!
Excellent choice. He’s even got those button eyes!
Well I don’t know. He certainly looks like Tintin but precisely because of that he also looks rather weird. The Tintin look ,like gallows said is part-boy part-man and it doesn’t really translate well into live-action which is why I would have preferred animation.
There has already been a couple of Tintin movies made during 60’s? 70’s? …
I never liked Tintin, anyway…
I have no idea what Tintin is. I seem to be imagining Mr. Tin, of T. Herman Zweibel fame.
This article confirms the presence of Professor Calculus and the Thompson twins. Hooray!
Smeghead – you can learn all about Tintin here.
CyberPundit. I totally agree. I really don’t want to see a live action movie of Tintin. But someone pointed out to the newspaper that the actor looked so much like the drawn character, it was scary. His image has not been altered. They only put on the clothes and brushed up his hair.
