As I write, I am sitting in one of the small rooms D and I have been living in for several years since I lost my job and subsequently filed bankruptcy.
I am writing to tell y’all that thanks to you and your generosity a couple of years ago, we can now move out of this postage-stamp sized “apartment” (really just 2 rooms and a bath living on the top floor of my SIL’s house) and into our own place: a three bedroom house with enough room for me to set up my drums, my guitars and my amps and we can walk past each other without having to suck in our bellies!
I just wanted to let you all know that with my SSDI payments started and the move to the new place, we can now officially say “Crisis over, as you were!”
I didn’t want to write this until we accomplished this one more thing, and now that we are back on our feet and financially “fluid”, we both stand ready to pay it forward when we’re needed.
