To have loved and lost...

While I’ve never lost at “love”, I had a few relationships I lost. I’ve been stood up and dumped more than I have dumped. I have too much decency to stand someone up. Of these failed relationships, I can say now I’ve never loved these guys. That said, I don’t feel I’ve particular learned or gained anything that warranted the pain the losses costed. I also feel the loss has tainted my good memories I had of former flames. So, basically, I feel it’s better to have never “loved at all” than to have loved and lost.

So, do you it’s true it’s better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all?

Not if you came out on the losing end of a divorce settlement.

I do. I’ve had some heart-wrenching break-ups and I’m still glad I had the good times / experiences that went with them.
