I just got off the phone with her and she didn’t like my comment about her overreacting like Jim Carrey on an acid trip (of course things like the OP are exactly what I was talking about), and she couldn’t tell by the smilies in the above post from the other thread that I was playing.
If I was really that upset about the Boo-Boo thing, I wouldn’t have offered to change my name if enough people voted, I wouldn’t have claimed the person to play me in the SD Movie would be “a little cartoon bear who keeps an eye out for Ranger Smith while a larger bear steals pic-a-nic baskets.”
I guess I should change my name too, or forever be known as the humorless tyrant who chased off his girlfriend.
BratMan or anyone else want to explain this one to me? I see that BratMan’s girlfriend little_tiger changed her user name to Boo Boos Little Tiger. But now BratMan is carrying on a conversation with Boo Boos Tigress like this is his girlfriend. The poster formerly known as little_tiger has a registration date of 05-25-2000, whereas Boo Boos Tigress has a registration date of 07-06-2000.
Does Boo Boos Little Tiger have a sock puppet or has BratMan spent so much time flirting on the SDBM that he doesn’t recognize his girlfriend anymore? Or do all of BratMan’s pack call him Boo Boo?

I was following this little soap opera and wondering the same thing, Wanderer. The best I came up with was she started as little_tiger, changed to Boo Boos Little Tiger, then changed again to Boo Boos Tigress.
Until it’s straightened out, I’m just referring to her as the poster formerly known as little_tiger.
And from now on BratMan will always be Boo Boo.
Well Gazoo if you are right, Boo Boo better tell lover girl the straight skinny about having 2 usernames since both Boo Boos Little Tiger and Boo Boos Tigress are still active members.
BTW: any other dopers want to take odds that the poster formerly known as little_tiger has made a relationship faux pas that will end up with Boo Boo and Yogi going their own separate ways?

My husband LIONsob (aka TheLION ) and I both post on this board, and while we have embarassed each other from time to time, we don’t take it to the level where one of us leaves the board.
You both need to relax a little. MIPSMS is the place to have have fun and to play around, don’t be so hung up about what you say, as long as you don’t lie on each other there should be no harm done.
Let’s face it, I told the whole board that my husband earned his red wings years ago and he let it be known that I am a woman who has the joy of female ejaculation. I doubt either of you could reveal anything more embarassing than that ! And neither of us let it bother us that bad.

I was actually cracking up from your exchanges, thinking it was “board talk.”
I thought it was board talk, too. Apparently she took my comments about her overreacting and and the stuff about me sharing embarassing stories about her seriously. We are not fighting IRL, and I have told her that I really don’t have a problem with her posting on the board.
I also warned her previously about having 2 names. I was the one who suggested she go to “About This Message Board” so she could find out how to legally change her name to Boo Boos little tiger. I had no idea about the Boo Boos Tigress thing until she called me at work and told me about the post. (Of course, it would have been nice if she had called first to tell me how she felt and let me talk to her, instead of posting and then calling.)
Anyway, I don’t want to speak on her behalf, she can speak for herself (unless this two username thing gets her banned), but she told me yesterday that she was planning on leaving anyway cuz she didn’t know how to contribute to the boards.
Sorry to spoil everyone’s soap opera, but I promise IRL, things are fine between tiger and her Boo Boo.
(Still wish she had called me first so I could explain that I wasn’t really angry, see what I mean about overreacting?)

If your GF is “Boo Boos Tigress” I’d be very surprised. If you look at the home page for both names you’ll see that the one for Boo Boos Tigress is a spoof of “Boo Boos little Tiger”. And not a very nice one at that. So, either your GF has a quirky sense of humor, or there is a sock puppet out there trying to cause trouble.

Thanks for the heads up, but BooBoos Tigress is my GF, I asked her about it and she said she had to start that name because the other one was completely locking her out and she could not get access to the board at all under the original name. I told her she should drop the admins an email explaining the situation before she gets banned.
As for the web pages, she didn’t like the first one and built the more hostile second one a few days ago. She really has that weird sense of humor and some real issues with her family.
Anyway, we’ve talked on the phone, and she knows now that I’m not really angry about her calling me Boo Boo, and she says she may come back and post occasionally, but not nearly as often as I do. (she says she just doesn’t “get it”)
Anyway, I’m hoping she emails the admins to explain the double usernames before they ban her.
BratMan, as you have seen, there are some inherent dangers in inviting a SO to the board. A few months ago I invited a former girlfriend to the board and she started posting occasionally. When she made a sarcastic comment about me in one of my threads, another poster didn’t realize she knew me and called her a bitch, which really upset her. Then a few weeks later the same poster who had called her a bitch said something to me in another rather heated thread and my former girlfriend who had been lurking, turned around and called the poster a bitch. In trying to defend my former girlfriend, things got really heated with me against several other posters in the thread and feelings got hurt. I started a thread in the pit complaining about one particular poster and things got totally out of hand and the whole thing escalated until I left the board for about a month.
I don’t think I would invite another SO to the board.
I have two user names because for some reason I don’t know I couldn’t log-in. I tried both. I am not a sock puppet. Since I couldn’t log-in I had to create another account. Maybe I should have not came back to the board at all. Ya think?
