After battling between #17 and #18, it seems that we have broken through the ranks of the next 5 higher proposals that were tightly grouped. I heard Therese yelling her approval down the hallway when she saw the new ranking. All we can say is GRRRREEEEAAAAT!

I couldn’t vote – I don’t do Facebook and didn’t want a Pepsi account.
However, I did forward this thread and the link to the voting site to my wife, who is active in the local community of people-with-various-developmental-disabilities and also puts out a local e-mail newsletter.
With any luck, the additional votership will make up for my lack.

Did you notice that the Basset Hounds actually have a voting block going? They must be round-robining their votes! Who knew that basset hounds are that cleaver and sneaky underneath those big sad eyes!

I’ve notice the top vote-getters in the $50k and $25k categories have large FB “like” numbers. Since FB is usually a daily activity for most people, they tend to vote daily as well, hence the higher rankings. This is the key as to why we are moving up the ranks. We are passing up other proposals with lower FB numbers. I think it’s just a matter of time that we will catch up those above us with lower FB likes. Therese is also on FB with other Autism groups who are also entrenched in the FB culture. But even with that, she and I both think that the SDMB community (and their contacts) probably makes up about 50% of our votes. The proposal’s ranking really took off right after last Saturday’s OP here. My wife is quite happy now that I spend extra time on the Dope!
So, as for asking friends on FB to vote for Therese’s proposal?
