Unfortunately I have a very bad feeling that it’s going to be Donald Trump.
Hence the popcorn, regardless of who it is.
I would love to see a huge crowd form up on Jan-6-2025, right about to surge into the Capitol, and with thousands of riot police bracing for the fight - they suddenly slink away, “Teeehheee, jk.”
This isn’t a gameshow I can change the channel on, so no popcorn for me. The real game doesn’t start until the Inauguration is complete, and a lot of us don’t have the luxury of sitting it out.
I am looking forward to Election day, so I can watch Steve Kornacki. Definitely popcorn.
I have been feeling that way for many elections now. Sometimes the outcome is better than other times, but the god damned process is interminable and nearly unbearable.
I don’t know if it was fake, or did Biden really say “Trump wasn’t at my last inauguration, which is ok, and I bet he won’t be at my next inauguration either.”
I guess depending on the out come you can either eat it with gusto or throw it at the screen.
