Pay attention, dipstick; we’re not talking about intelligent Republicans, the ones who can tolerate differences of opinions and objectively point out the areas where the current leadership is failing to meet their socio-political desires. We’re talking about the brick-headed numbnuts out there, the guys who believe George W. Bush pisses wine and craps Texas steaks, the folks whose only election criteria is whether or not the candidate has a little “Republican” next to his name.
The folks in the first group are embraced with open arms and a glass of Bourbon (if desired), even if their philosophies may be a bit misguided, 
for they offer interesting insights into how “the other side” thinks.
The folks in the second group – of whom Token White Guy is merely the latest example – contribute nothing to the general discourse, can do nothing other than regurgitate whatever they hear on Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, and deserve nothing but derisive mockery for their laughably oversimplistic ideas of what constitutes political discourse.
(That’s one of the problems of having George W. Bush as President – every dim-bulbed nitwit thinks having a C-average qualifies them to be a wanna-be political wonk. “Hey, if Cs are good enough for the President, them’s good enough for me!”)

But it seems to me the demagogues who are not interested in debate but just want to post venom about the opposition are nearly exclusively on the far right and many of them don’t last a week. I’d have to say the extremists have a hell of a lot in common, they don’t think things through, they throw out random insults, tend to generalize about everything, and believe anyone who disagrees with them is inherently wrong.
