Tony Kornheiser, STFU!

I’ve been hoping that with Favre gone, there won’t be so much ref bias towards the Packers. Maybe it’s become ingrained.

Kornheiser may have been sucking the Favre sack last night, but that’s only cuz the Patriots weren’t playing. Was watching the Chiefs/Pats game and the commentary was nearly unintelligible for all the Patriot cock being sucked.

Cassel throws this lame duck, nearly end over end pass to Moss for a TD and the announcers deepthroated him with proclamations of the “perfect” pass. Good lord, I hadn’t seen a pass like that since I was playing flag football some <mumble, mumble> years ago.

… and then there was the announcement of the Pats 1st and goal situation… from their own 12 yard line…

Or maybe there wasn’t bias from the referees to the Packers last night. Just a possibility.

I couldn’t watch the game last night, so I’m going by what Diogenes said (I know, a questionable source :)), but still, my experience watching Packer games is certainly in line with his remark.)

Bear’s fan, perchance?

You caught me.

Thanks for not pointing out my bad grammar.

Should be an interesting match up this year. I’ll take 3-13 if the two other wins come against the Bears.

Oh, don’t be silly. What about those back to back to back penalties that set the Vikings up for a 1st and 33 situation? Ya know? The one that included a holding call because the O lineman breathed on the defense wrong?

Whadda meant that wasn’t against the Vikings?

I actually expected a bit more of a melt down out of DtC. I’m kinda disappointed.

If I did that, I’d setting myself up.

You sound like my husband, in reverse.

Yeah! Go Bears…
…And take the Chicago Fire with ya.

Soccer. Oy.

Seconded, thirded and fourthed on Kornholster. HATE HATE HATE that fuckwit.

Luckily, I wasn’t able to watch the game. But I do know the only thing about last nights game that sucked worse than Cornhole was Tavaris.

On the radio, Pete Birsich (former coach) made a comment after one of his passes to the effect that “That’s something that every coach, from from grade school on up, teaches you not to throw.”

But it does bring up an interesting conundrum. Which would be more unbearable, Salisbury as replacement for Cornhole, or Salisbury as replacement for Jackson?

You know what was worse?

The late ESPN game, with Mike & Mike & Mike. I turned it off when they talked over each other for the 42nd time.

It’s not 168? Huh. I thought it was.

I thought they did a really good job during the San Fran/Arizona game in Mexico, and to be honest I was practically asleep for most of the Denver/Oakland game.

Ball carriers can’t commit a facemask penalty. He could pick a guy up by the face mask and spin him around if he wants legally.

I meant that they were committed against AP.

I thought this as well, but I seem to remember a runner getting called for one either last season or the one before.

SB is exaggerating a bit. Offensive players (ball carrier or not) have always been subject to the 15-yard personal foul facemask rule- the grabbing and twisting one.

They were just exempt from the “incidental contact” (5 yard) variety.

Yeah, duh, my bad. AP is on the Vikings and all. I’ve heard people bitching before that there was no flag before when a running back stiff armed someone’s face mask.

I was about to say that there is no incidental contact facemark penalty any more, but that is college, isn’t it?
