Let’s keep going. I’ll watch the rear.
I’ll take my position as second in line behind Oredigger.
Melon keeps near the front of the group. He might as well at least try to take hits for the more useful party members.
Awww, don’t get all emo on us
Sack up, Auto, we’ve got a job to do.
I agree that we should press on.
Cheer up, Melon, I for one cherish your existence. Your very breath is keeping my coins in my pocket!
Oh, and Ishtar is all for pressing on as well. Though he is upset that his wizardry clothes are filthy! Filthy I say!
There are some low-lying ruins ahead - some almost ground-level, some maybe six to eight feet high. It looks about the right size to have been a monastery or something similar once upon a time. According to your briefing from the Parson, there should be a crypt somewhere. You’re now on higher ground some way above the level of the marshes so the ground would be dry for quite some way down. There is room to spread out much wider than single file if you wish.
“Oh! Oh! Who wants to go crypt-exploring? I do!”
“Beats farming”
“Great, leave it to our thief to want to go grave robbing. Why don’t we finish off our current job and then hit in on the way back? Maybe by then our noodle arm priest will learn to hit what he swings at and we might have a chance against what lurks in there. I like being a meat shield only when I have to and purposefully walking into a crypt doesn’t count as have to.”
“that’s what I like about you Ore, your unrelenting optimism”
“I am optimistic. I’m optimistic that if we go into the crypt we’re going to die.”
This is your current job - one of you is carrying a funeral urn to be returned to its rightful spot…
"Apparently Oredigger didn’t pay attention much in adventurer’s school to the part about knowing what your mission is before undertaking it.
“That being said, depending on how dangerous you think this crypt will be, it might be worth it to rest for the day since I’m out of spells, unless the rest of you think we have enough spells to get by. I mean now that we’re on dry land, this wouldn’t be a bad spot.”
I was thinking graveyard not crypt.
“Since I was distracted by the donkey show back in town I’ll withdraw my objection but we still should be prepared for trouble.”
“I agree with Hoppy Frood, we should rest, heal, and memorize spells before we enter that crypt”
Does the guide know any local lore about the crypt?, something we should know?
Trotman: No, all I know about this place is the way here - if you needed to know more you should have asked the Parson. I can try and find you a camp site if you want.
“I knew I was forgetting something back in the village, oh well, I hope there are no Undead Frogs inside or something…”
