Too Proud to Die - the Fighting Ignorants

Ishtar just sighs and at hearing the “Donkey show” comment and shakes his head.
“At least my day was spent a bit more… fruitfully. I have taken the liberty of preparing my new found Magic Missile today. If my notes are right, mine should burst in a different color than yours, Hoopy. Hopefully. We shall see how it goes. I’m personally hoping for a nice bright illuminating Green color, at least if my notes are correct. I thank you again for the book though. I shall have to try to learn *Sleep *another day, and you’re as always welcome to my book anytime, Hoopy.”
With that said, Ishtar will fall back into the center of the group, if there’s a wagon or such, all the better, as he’ll sit in that. If no wagon, then just the center is probably for the best.

I’ll stay to the rear of the group, unless Trotman has any interesting stories to tell…

You certainly have no wagon - those things cost money, not to mention the draft animals, harness, fodder and know-how, all things that you conspicuously lack. Besides, who but a fool takes a wagon through marshland?

Hey, you show the Fightin’ Ignants some respect!

I keep my light spell.

So, people, how are we for supplies?, do we have enough for this trip?.

I’ll replenish my supplies as needed before leaving and then join the others.

Spells: 2 Cure Light Wounds, 1 Light. Once we approach the cemetery the next day or two, I’ll switch to 2 Cure Light Wounds, 1 Bless

I’ll take sleep again

The team reaches the edge of the marshes by midday. Trotman repeats the need for caution, and suggests you form up in single file behind him. You will probably have no trouble seeing past each other, but swapping places will be hard as often as not. Hopefully you will be on firm ground again before it gets dark.

“I have a bad feeling about this”

I’ll take second place behind Trotman.

“Do try to miss me with those spells, I don’t want to be attacked from both sides.”

I’ll be in the middle somewhere, the usual place for wizards.

Melon will be near the back (the very back unless someone else contests the spot), alert and at the ready.

I’ll be behind Hoopy Frood

I’ll be 3rd after Trotman and Oredigger, unless Appleciders requests otherwise (then I’ll be 4th).

I’ll be smack in the middle, in case the wizards get flanked.

I’ll try to stay either in front of or behind Ciders. As I have a bit of Range with my weapon and my spell for the day, I see no need to be close to the front lines.

“1:1 odds on who goes down today? I’ll put 1 coin on our dear Auto… any takers?” states Ishtar, nervously fidgeting with his darts.

“I’ll take that action. I think Auto has learned how to choose the size of bush that he hides behind. As for who’s going down, I’ll take the priest who wants to act as rear guard. Melon is getting squashed.”

“Deal. If **melon **goes down today, you’ll get your coin. If both go down, obviously we break even.”

“Woo, making money! Hey, Auto you hear that I’m betting on you, so find a big bush this time not some measly scrub.”

“That kind of betting creates some very ugly incentives, people would not be quick to help someone whose death would make money for them!”

“That said, I’ll put 1 coin on Melon”
