The earlier we put in for it, the better chance we have of getting the pavilion we want. For those of us with kids, the Fireman’s pavilion was ideal because there is a lot of equipment close by. Doing the “x weekend of y month” helps with that aspect of planning.

I think we should discuss, then vote, in a new thread. I’d still like to know if there’s a way it would inconvenience anyone to hold Gettysdope on a weekend during the PA school year.
Well, you’re claiming a pocketful of proxies, but you’re not saying whose votes they are. (Were you counting twickster? Were you counting norinew?) And there’s a question of whether the PA school year issue (the relevance of which has not yet been supported) may have swayed the discussion on Saturday. Why does the PA school calendar matter, and if it doesn’t, would your proxies be just as happy with May or June? Do you even know?
I have no proxies. Nor shall I accept any proxies. I voted early, I will vote often, and perhaps consistantly. What I shall not do, is to take any of this seriously.
