I just found out how easy it is to bake a sweet potato in the microwave. And how good it tastes with butter.
Any other recommendations for sweet potatoes?

I like a little cinnamon mixed in with the butter. I’ve been to restaurants where they’ll give you caramel sauce and marshmallows, but that’s too much for me - too sweet.
A little cinnamon and brown sugar, with the butter.
Butter, garlic, salt and pepper.
Cranberry sauce, especially real cranberry sauce.
I like a little soft goat cheese, spinach and walnuts. Sometimes dried cranberries in with it.
But I can be happy with just the goat cheese. It just works beautifully with the sweet potato.
Don’t ruin it with that goddamned brown sugar/cinnamon crap. Butter, salt, pepper, just like Og intended. :: pantpantpant::
This man speaks the truth. Sweet potatoes don’t need more sweet added to them.
And perhaps a little sour cream…
Chili powder! Hot Sauce! Even some Old Bay.
Melt marshmallows and/or brown sugar and/or molasses on top. Or put some cheese and bacon on it. Or chocolate.

This.
I’ve taken to having a spoonful of lime and chili mayonnaise with baked vegetables, in fact any vegetables. Fortunately I can buy an excellent ready made one at my supermarket as the Paul Newman’s one is off the market.
I eat them plain. They don’t need anything else.
Apple butter.
Crumbled bacon or pork rinds on top.
Nothing is better than bacon!

Melt some butter, infuse with cracked pepper and thyme, and enjoy!
Peanut butter, in place of the butter, and some cajun seasoning. Mmmm.
My mom used to eat them with cracklins, when we had them. Bacon or pork rinds, as Ralph123c says, will do if you don’t have cracklins.
