Torchwood - clarifications sought (Open Spoilers)
So he’s sort of a Kirk.
But not as discriminating.
The actress who played Martha Jones had earlier played one of the Torchwood drones in the penultimate ep of S2 of Doctor Who.
Yes, but in that case there is a connection. The Torchwood girl was Martha’s … cousin, I think she said.

I predict that Gwyneth and Gwen will turn out to be related.

I don’t recall hearing this, but it may have been in a scene deleted for Sci Fi broadcast.

I see from Wikipedia that the references was in the episode “Smith and Jones” which was Martha’s first appearance.

I still liked in this episode the one guy calling the Dr (medical dr, not the dr) “House”…

“You’ve got your diagnoses, House, now get on with it…” (paraphrased).
can Gwen please tell her sweet baboo just a little about what she does?
She has, but she gave him an amnesia pill first.
Oh, my freaking god, yes! I never even saw this show, but I searched for that clip on YouTube and…gah…uhhh…wow…is it hot in here? fans self I don’t even KNOW those people but my heart was breaking…among other physical responses…

You know, I’ve got the ep recorded but decided to check it out on Youtube anyway. Imagine my (non) surprise when I clicked on one of the scenes and had to verify my age because people were flagging it as unsuitable for minors.

Ah well. At least their age verification is useless, so it’s not like it’s actually censored or anything.
Actually, not only is he gay but he recently married his partner of 16 years in Cardiff, Wales.

Are people here familiar with him as a singer or just from TV? I first saw him in the Kennedy Center’s production of Company a few years ago.

I just caught up with this episode tonight and I had a few questions. What exactly happened after they opened the rift and Jack killed the big destroyer creature? Did time go back a day, a week? How was Reese still alive? I really didn’t get the mechanics of all that, but I think it’s simpler if I watch this show without trying to really put too much thought into it. What is the significance of the hand in the jar? It was mentioned in the first episode too I think, but never explained.

I’m so glad we only have to wait a month until Season Two!

[hijack]It’s not useless. You had to verify, so their rear ends are covered. I think it’s not a bad balance between freedom to access and our litigious society. [/hijack]

Here you go.
Unknown as of the end of S1 of Torchwood and S3 of Doctor Who. It may simply be that Russell Davies liked the actress enough to cast her in the new series.
That is exactly what I read somewhere. Not that they might force a link later down the road but it would seem a little …forced.

Here you go.

Oh that is hilarious. I’d seen it before but completely missed John Barrowman - he looks good as a blonde!

He really does have an impressive voice.

Wow thanks! I had never seen that before. Very cool and a nifty camera shot as well.
