Usually the crap I get in my Hotmail account isn’t even worth opening, so I perform a mass delete from the account and I’ve since told everyone I know to NOT email me at sterlingnorth@hotmail.com . But I’ve gotten something from someone called Elga about some website I may or may not have signed up on. I honestly don’t remember. It didn’t look like normal spam in which I’m supposed to click some weird link that sends me to “Nasty Ass Hoes on Display.”
Basically she said, I used to be on http://www.[something-i-may-habe-sign-up-for-or-not].com but changed my password. I’m in the area and I would like a tour. (She doesn’t specify which area she’s in, so alarms are going off now.) However, I decide to reply (since this account is already spam trap what else can they do? Send more spam?).
I get an “Autoreply” from Yahoo that says in essence ‘could you send this message to another yahoo account, this one has unfortunately become a spam trap.’
I do that (I don’t know why.) and I get this back.
It looks like a vacation notice, but I’m not sure since I cannot read Swede or Swedish or whatever.
Helga has big jugs and wants your credit card number. man, you are a spammer’s dream. Not only you read it but you put all this effort into finding out what it is. I delete it so fast I don’t even read the subject line.
I got emails from that too, glad to hear I’m not the only one. She sent two to me, I haven’t bothered replying cause I didn’t know if I knew her or not from somewhere (most likely not, but you never know …). Thanks
Well, I can, and if that is the exact wording you got it looks like something put together by someone with just a rudimentary knowledge of the language. I’ll give it a try anyway.
Penetrating the gibberish and bad spelling I get:
“Som jag kan ha rolugt tillsammans vacation - med och som har samma energi som jag!”
That I can have fun together with and that have the same energy as I.
===
“Obotligt och outtröttlig!”
Incurably [sic] and indefatigable!
===
“Någon med hjärna och sappeel.”
Someone with a brain and {sappeel] /whatever that means/.
My WAG is that whoever composed it thought that it had a Swedish ring, which neither “Helga” nor “Olga” has IMO. At least I wouldn’t associate either of them with anyone younger than say 65 years.
