Ever been south of the border and thought the vegetation down there was just a bit too lush? Well, applying the golden rule to that situation, I decided to trim my pubes. Nothing special, just a quick scissors job. And it worked pretty well - no more big annoying puff of hair down there. I felt like a lean, clean, trim machine.
Then the other day, I noticed my armpit hair brushing up against the tender skin of my underarm. I thought “Hmm, what if I also try trimming that?” BIG MISTAKE. Now I’ve got these bristly, itchy hairs that I feel every time I move my arms. It does not feel good. Now I’m just wondering how many weeks they’re gonna take to grow back.
So, guys, if you were thinking of trimming your armpits, don’t do it. I can also see how this is a real motivating factor for ladies who are already shaved to keep on shaving.
Funny… I’m a guy and I routinly shave my pits, and I have never had a single problem. I think part of it might just be that I usually shave about once a week, and the hair that is there is not too thick, even when fully grown in. I’ve never had super hairy pits, which is odd, because I do have my fair share of chest and back hair. Of course, my facial hair is pretty slow growing as well. I can usually go 2-3 day between shave before I pass the five O’clock shadow phase, and get into the scruffy nerf herder phase.
Now, when I do shave them I do it in the shower with plenty of hot water and soap. I also use a Mach 3.
I’ve never been brave enough the do the whole pube trim thing though. Blades and that area? I’ll really have to screw up my courgae before I defolite the southern rainforest, let me tell you what.
[sub]I can not believe I just wrote all of that. It’s offical, I have no shame…[/sub]
Trimming is not bad if done right.
Waxing – that was invented by a sadist.
I can’t understand women who buy this as part of a spa package or getaway weekend. Yeee-Ouch! My idea of a relaxing time is not having someone nearly yank off a layer of tender skin.
Huh.
This is just too wierd… yah. What with me being female and all, I am regularly shaving the underarms and don’t even remember what it was like before I had to.
Until about a month ago I never went south with the razor because of instinct…but since swimsuit season is coming up and I was noticing that the furriness might need trimming, I had a go at just shortening it. Not shaving down to the skin, just to take a little off the top.
As Bog almighty is my witness, never again. twitch It drove me absolutely nuts, and itched the hell out of me. I will never do that again, I think…
Yep Nair, caustic hair melting gloop, thats exactly what I need in my sensitive areas… Hell I’d shave it with a straight razor before doing that… (Shudder)
