Guys - Underarm hair?

I hate it on myself. I shave it. What about you. How do your partners feel about it?

Actually I hate body hair in general and remove all ecvept leg hair - but only because I would go through a set of blades every day if I did that as well

I hate shaving my face, so I sure as hell am not going to shave any other parts of my body.

I’m not all that picky about hair anywhere—on either gender. Well, as long as it looks clean and somewhat tended to. Don’t really care for uni-brow on either gender. Or wild eyebrows in general.
As long as -most- of the unnerarm hair stays under the arm and not out the sides__ Meh. Bathing suits … again, just keep it tucked in.

One of the reasons I’m glad I’m a guy is that we don’t have to worry about shaving underarms and legs.

Only thing I shave is my face. I use clippers on my head so even at it’s shortest, there is still a layer of fuzz. I do keep my body hair well groomed though. I always brush my chest hair after I get out of the shower and towel off. It just looks bad when it’s all over the place.

I admit that I’m not normal, but I like to maintain myself. So I use electric clippers on my entire body. I use the 1/4-inch attachment on my entire body, except for my chest and underarms. I use the 1/2-inch attachment for those.

Interestingly, I like the “au naturel” look for women as long as they shave their legs, arms and pits.

:dubious: And after all those parts are shaved, just how “au naturel” is that?

[sub]I’m assuming you mean that they don’t shave their crotch, but the way you phrased it sounds a bit silly. “I love all the colors of the rainbow, except for red, green, blue and purple.” Somethin’ like that. [/sub]

I’m seasonal. When it’s nice and balmy hot, the pits get shaved. I sweat less, and smell better. When it’s the colder months, the hair grows, and that sensitive skin stays all the warmer for it. I’d like to do the same thing for facial hair, but the SO is passionately against kissing a scratchy, scraggly beard.

I’m a Mammal. My SO’s a Mammal. I shave my face except for some sideburns, cuz I want to. SO doesn’t shave pits or legs, and I have no problem with that.

Except for once I asked if she could chirp like a cricket if she rubbed her legs together, and she tickled me 'til I nearly wet myself.

I gree with Renob. One of the reasons for my having a beard is to reduce the shaving I do, although I do shave daily, and trim my beard about every other week.

I was trying to be funny in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way. Guess it didn’t work.

Nah, I’ll just consider myself whooshed.

I disslike body hair on myself or others, but shaved armpits just get really itchy for me so I don’t shave there. Legs are easy enough to shave, seriously a Gillette mach 3 razor head will be good for a month of leg shaving at least. You only need to shave legs occasionally and once the first shaving is done then only maintenace shaves are required. Do it in a bath or at least a shower so that your skin is well warmed and wet, then you can shave with a good razor without needing shaving cream.

Being female, I know the OP doesn’t really apply to me, but my husband trims his underarm hair. I think he has some sort of problem with deodorant-encrusted armpit dreadlocks, otherwise. And he has been known to trim his chest hair on occasion.

I shave everything from the shoulders up and trim my chest & armpits whenever it bugs me, which is about every 3 months.

now there is a mental image I didnt need…

I’ve taken to shaving my underarm hair lately. Not all the way off, I tried that and it itched like hell. But trimming it pretty close. It doesn’t do anything and it can look nasty if you don’t perform some maintenance.

There was one summer when I’d start to stink only an hour or two after showering and putting on deodorant. On the advice of a fellow Doper I tried shaving my pits, and sure enough, it worked. Since then, I’ve let my hair grow and haven’t had any new smell problems, but I’d shave it all off in a heartbeat if things started getting uncontrollably ripe again.

Ditto.

Female here - I much prefer for men to shave their underarm hair. I don’t like a lot of body hair on guys anyway, but underarm hair on anyone just grosses me out.
