Trivia in the MMP

Ooh, the safehouse? That’s in Chicago; 1060 W Addison St.

Blurf. Tahred. Way behind on irk stuff but tomorrow is another day. Sleepy.

spidey, flytrap, doubt either of you could find your way to Montgomery on your best day; second our Governor is a woman, so she might like a Hot Pink bedroom…

All 17 Laws Of The Game have been reviewed and put in a folder; only 220 pages. That and a short nap consisted of the bulk of the afternoon. Never did get the lawn watered, but it looks like Mother Nature will be taking care of that by Thursday, so may just get out and mow it tomorrow and save on the water bill.

I think I’ll be swinging through Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada and back to California in July. If anyone is out that way, let me know.

So I went to a book signing today. The fact that it was held at a whiskey bar was pure coincidence.

If you could be in NE Kansas that would be great. I would buy food and beer!

who goes to those middle 4 states voluntarily? although you have to go through nm to get anywhere west…pools drained …aunt stood in it with a shop vac and finished the cleaning its spotless and getting filled …no clue on food yet…

Why is there a 3AM on my day off?? <yawn>

Gonna be a long day. Happy Tuesday, I guess…

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 72 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 98 and partly cloudy (does this mean the same as mostly N.O.S.?) with a chance of a stray tstorm this afternoon. I wish. We need rain in these parts. Today I shall launder. Rah. Also go over to the church house to meet with EYP and the treasurer to discuss mid-year adjustments to the maintenance budget. Double Rah. Sup shall be burgers 'n fixin’s with fries.

Actually had a somewhat productive meetin’ last night although longer than it needed to be IMO. Then again, IMO, any meetin’ that goes over an hour is too long. We shall meet again on Sattidy mornin’ to begin the next steps. We got burritos from Moe’s Southwest Grill. Mine was hyuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge. I have half of it for today’s N.O.L.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day. Triple rah.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

OK, I’m calling this off as another of Spiderboy’s Crazy Plans.

It was 49° outside when I let Higgs into the yard! The house has been open for almost 2 full days! YAY! It won’t last much longer, but I’m loving it while it does.

Today, the other 2 desks in this room will be moved to the new office. Then I can finally do a proper carpet cleaning in here!! RAH!! Afterwards, the 2 new bookshelves will come up here, the love seat will be returned, and I’ll move my records and record player from the foyer to the corner where FCD’s desk is sitting now.

I’ll also be helping **FCD **organize the shop - it’s in a bit of disarray…

Present, Blurfage to the maxage.

bounces about

My officemates are having a meeting with a guy who’s just discovered that if part of your production order isn’t done right and you make as many total parts as you had planned, you make less good parts than you hoped to have. I am feeling tempted to suggest the substitution of the fancy coffee capsules with some extra-strength versions.

flounces off

Nava, nobody flounces quite as well as you do…:wink:

FCM, you just built the place and it’s in disarray already?:cool::wink:

Sunny, I’ll be in Colorado the first 3 days of July, so probably won’t be on your schedule, but enjoy the trip. And I can’t find 4 states like shady does, but Iowa and Nebraska do qualify as among the most boring states in the Union (add N. Dakota and Western Kansas to the mix–sorry Cupcakes).

shady, glad the pool is now clean.

Up at 2am to micturate, then went back to bed until 7:30am. Debating if I want to mow the yard today, or wait for Wednesday and take a chance it’ll rain (about 20%). We’ll see how lazy I’m feeling.

All y’all take care.

Afternoon all!

Did an extra irk shift today, I could kinda use the money. That will mean doing three whole days this week, how shall I cope with the workload? It’s been raining all morning, which is not a bad thing, it’s been far drier than normal all spring.

Just in case anyone was wondering, I will not be going anywhere near any of you any time soon. If I’m managing a trip away at all this year, it’ll probably be Holland or something, and it’s not looking all that likely.

Pro Tip: Only pack the top layer of your suitcase, since it sounds like you won’t be any one place long enough to get beyond that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Signing your credit card receipt on your bar bill, even though it might be as many words as a novel is not considered a book signing. :dubious:

Couldn’t figger out how to work the GPS???

Up, caffeianed and sheveled. Off to work. Closing shift tonight

Happy Toosday!

Too sick to enjoy the pretty weather.

I hope to get some stuff done in the yard today. I need to get stuff done in the house too.
I’m out of clean clothes, I haven’t vacuumed the downstairs in a week, boxes from the da jungle are still sitting in the hall…
My son is out of frozen microwavable stuff so I need to cook for him tonight.

IMHO the best subs around are at Firehouse subs, but they’re spendy. Jersey Mike’s are pretty good too. After that comes Subway. Subway’s bread to fixins ratio is excessive but not too bad if the bread is fresh. Quiznos? meh. That’s all we’ve got around here, that I remember.

Any meeting that outlasts the food is too long.

Had a package that required a signature delivered by Fedex yesterday. Got an e-mail the night before telling me “your package will be delivered tomorrow before 8pm.”
Really Fedex? That’s the best estimate you can come up with? Before 8pm?
It showed up at ~4pm. Fortunate that I didn’t have to go anywhere yesterday.

Nothing exciting planned for today. The pile of papers upstairs waiting to be filed got so tall that part of it fell over onto the floor, so I’d better do something about that. :frowning:
le sigh

Happy Toosday.

Which for some reasons reminds me of a cartoon we had taped to the wall at Ye Olde Harley Shoppe back when I worked there; maybe a Hagar or BC or something like that. It showed a bunch of Vikings or slaves or something chained to a set of oars and had a Important Guy talking. The dialogue was basically
“Guys – I have good news and bad news.”
“The good news is we’re rowing to Tahiti”
(yeah - woohoo - woot)
“The bad news is we have Buddy Rich on drum.”

My favorite video which gets really good about 15 minutes in
