Trivia in the MMP

His address is: 660 State Rte 11, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621

Ask for him by shouting his real name “Hey asshole” and using the password “where do I leave this dead hooker?”

Right … this is the plan then. At 10:45 you, Doggio, collect me and MetalMouse in the van, and take us round to the British Jewellery Centre in the High Street. We will arrive outside the British Jewellery Centre at 10:50a of m. I shall then get out of the car, you Doggio, take it and park it back here in Denver Street, right? At 10:51, I shall enter the British Jewellery Centre, where you, Swampykins, disguised as a customer, will meet me and hand me £5.18.3d. At 10:52, I shall approach the counter and purchase a watch costing £5.18.3d. I shall then give the watch to you, MetalMouse. You’ll go straight to Norman’s Garage in East Street. You lads continue back up here at 10:56 and we rendezvous in the back room at the Cow and Sickle, at 11:15. All right, any questions?

Not being familiar with the gent, and after some assistance from YouTube, all I can say is “carajo ”

Now get off my lawn before I shake my cane at you again you whippersnapper!

Is this Monty Python or Austin Powers?:dubious:

:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: Dude, the first video of him I found was from when I was in kindergarten. So don’t complain, you’re apparently in good-enough shape to only need a cane despite being a few years older than the first trilobite.

Bumba, will give Jersey Mike’s a try; I’ve tried Firehouse and they don’t quite have the combo I like.

ruble, sounds like a “New Yorker” cartoon; I’ve heard the joke before, but never saw it in print.

Nava, guess I’m old too, because Buddy Rich is the best that’s ever been.

Done nothing useful today outside of fixing lunch. Thinking about an evening mowing, but more probably will wait until tomorrow.

**MetalMouse **- the shop was in a mess because of the work still being done to set things up - pulling wires, etc. Plus **FCD **tends to not put his tools away right away, so there were various and sundry in assorted places.

Meatloaf for supper.

Back to work tomorrow.

Guess that sums it up!

Update on the grandawter: her latest platelet count is up to 232,000 and she’s back in school. Huzzah! She is restricted from recess and gym time for now, as any hard contact could cause massive bruising or bleeding that is difficult to stop. Still, a relief for everyone.

Just got back from an AARP neighborhood walk. They sponsor some 16 walks in the summer through different Portland neighborhoods. They’re more of a slow stroll because of the number of people that turn out for these, but any movement is good and some of the 'hoods are interesting to see. Today’s offered nice views of Mount St. Helens and Mt. Hood.

Lunch at the local Killer Burger. The Classic for me: double patties, cheese, bacon, pickles, tomatoes and fries. Glad I took that walk, as the afternoon is looking sleepy.

Howdy Y’all! Laundry got laundered and stowed. Budget got amended and sup got cooked and et. Right now ‘tis a hunnert degrees out so glad to be inside in the a/c. Rain is predicted Thursday through Sunday. We shall see. Much discussion is underway re mowage over to the church house as this is a mow week. If’n we get the rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted particularly for Firday, Sattidy, and Sunday not much mowin’ will occur. May go do some on Thursday out front just to make that look nice. Then again, TWPTB ain’t been all that smart as of late so who knows.

Cookie yay for granddaughter gettin’ better! Hope she continues to heal fast.

Time to make dinner, but first a new page.

ruble, my dad had a Hagar the Horrible cartoon pinned over the rolltop in his shop for years that went something like The good news is that there is double grog. The bad news is that the captain wants to water ski. It’s been a few years since I’ve seen it, but it still makes me laugh.

Yay for the grandkid cookie!

I got the template issue figured out this morning. There were locations added that I wasn’t told about. The pivot tables were picking them up, but the page that they feed had nowhere to stash that information, so the totals were off. It took about 45 minutes to figure it out, but starting fresh was a big help.

I also finished up a special project and began cleaning out a file cabinet that I’ve cleaned the same shit out of a couple of years ago. The last boss, although a friend, was somewhat of a hoarder. My current boss, before her promotion, and I cleaned it out two moves ago and called the 5S team to pick up everything, file cabinet and all. The old boss went behind our back and had maintenance stash it, junk and all.  Well, maintenance is cleaning house and brought it back to us, junk and all.   Wo I have a carton of personal printer ink for five printers that are no longer on site, a carton of cubicle hardware (think over the wall coat hangers, push pins, etc) that, given the company’s move away from cube farms, very few have needed for a couple of years and won’t for the forseeable future, spray paint (WTF!), media that’s made at least the five moves that I’ve been a part of in the last 14 years, more power strips than you can shake a stick at and a bunch of desk trays and lights that we don’t have desks enough for. After speaking to our new manager (boss’ boss), we’re shit canning almost all of it. I will personally deliver it to the red tag area once it’s cartonized.

Cookie glad your granddaughter is improving!

Metal Mouse one of the planned stops in Colorado is to visit the Durango/Silverton train.

Hubby is off to Texas for the week. He’s working on a Bell Helicopter job that I find fascinating.

I’m enjoying looking through my windows at the world outside. In here it is in the low 70s, out there it is almost 100. :stuck_out_tongue:

Cookie, yeah on grand-daughter, may she continue to do better. And just looked it up, there is a place(s) in Portland called Killer Burger…I do wonder how they got that particular name…

Sunny, enjoy; I’ll be taking AMTRAK from Chicago to Denver so that will be my train ride for the trip.

Red, have cleaned out my share of file cabinets in my time; I also have several racks of folders here I need to go through, haven’t looked at them for years. Most can probably go to the shredder.

Managed not to mow the yard or do much of anything today except type up my vacation itinerary and send it to my brother. Hoping now the rain holds off tomorrow morning so I can do the mowing; like swampy, we’re expecting a good chance of rain Thorsday thru Sunday.

Those of you who enjoy Buddy Rich’s work may also be interested in the Vargas Blues Band. I had the pleasure of seeing them as part of one of those multi-band concerts and their drummer’s solo would have made a gravestone stand up and pay attention.
I’m glad the Little Cookie is better. Continued best wishes and all that jazz.

I woke at 1-ish. I’ve been up since then. It’s gonna be a long day.

But I didn’t have to drop Roxy off since the sitter went into labor yesterday.

I don’t think there’s enough caffeine for today. yeah yeah Happy Wednesday.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 77 Amurrkin out and N.O.S. with a predicted high of 96 (heat index over a hunnert) and possible rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon. We shall see. This mornin’ I betake myself to the Pubic Sto’ to lay in provisions. I foresee boxed lasagna, sallit, and cheesey garlic bread as sup. At some point today I must go over to the church house and haul the biiiiiiiiiiig trash cans to where they go for pickup tomorrow. Perhaps I shall attend mid-week Eucharist and attend to that this evenin’. Or do it durin’ the day. I am willy-nilly on that right now.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas, alack, and bother I must purtify and don appropriate bein’ about the public in the Pubic Sto’ attire. Le sigh.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

**swampy **- I’ve been meaning to ask. Way back with I lived in Floriduh, one of my favorite treats was Publix pumpernickel-raisin bread - do they still have that? I’ve heard they no longer have a real in-store bakery.

blurfage!!!111!!!
At irk a little later than normal due to having to prepare for the maid this morning. I got the dishes running and the sheets in the washer and trash out. That was all I could manage.

I am still doing EOM/FOM stuff. Gonna wrap it up today.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work. Closing shift tonight
