Home from the picnic. It was really nice and I’m exhausted!! All that fresh air kicked my butt! 
We took a boat ride (Roxy has impressive sea legs) and had lots of food. Roxy danced and walked around a lot, then she and her mom got in the pool, which they tell me was quite chilly. Poor little tired thing slept all the way home. I expect she’ll crash early tonight.
I know I will…
I survive as I have been puny. Not really sick but not well. Go figure. **Luckylouiedog ** had a bad night with a tummy ache I was up until 3 am before he finally settled down. He had filet mignon and his usual treats. I think he over indulged. Damn hubs for giving him so many treats. I really was scared he would die. Still nervous but he is fine.
Glad the picnic was fun Mooommmm. All the rest of youse how about a Rosie’s sig.
Mooooooom, I always get a sleepy spell after a swim. I hope RoxStar crashes for the night.

We watches most of the air show without getting wet. Guests are gone and supper is et. The air show will still be going on when I get back from heathenization tomorrow, soI can catch some more of it and maybe get some pictures this time. It gives me a greater appreciation of what butters and her crew do to get this show organized.
Now to finish cutting lime wedges and chopping green onions to go with tomorrow’s potluck dish (crunchy cashew and quinoa salad) and do some light kitchen prep for the week’s meals.

YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out and cloudy (well, dark) with a predicted high of ONLY 85 (there will be an iceberg in the cee-mint pond!) and rain/tstorms/apocalypse for the day. We have had a fair amount of rain but nuttin’ like the predicted deluge thus far. We shall see what the day brings. The big plan of the day is to deheathenate. As CupCakes mentioned, today is Pentecost AKA the birthday of the church, so red must be worn. In addition some of the big readin’ of the account of Pentecost will be in different languages. Also, I have ush duty. Afterwards we will most likely grab a burger from somewheres or other.

Up, breadkasting, caffeinating and fixing to purtify for heathenization.
Yestidy, the alarm went off at 3-something. This moaning’s flight was cxl’d so I could sleep in. So of course I wake up with a start at 2am to a bright red room. I realized it was the bambilance pulling out of the area & must’ve hit the whoop-de-whoops, whose noise woked me up. Looking at the dispatch, it 1. was a neighbor & 2. was a dispatch that shouldn’t require lights & sirens to the horsepistol.
Then they screwededed up & changed the time of run club so I went, but didn’t go to that.
You are remiss in your duties; youst did not warble a song.
So, unlimited burgers & fries for the winners?
Up and having steak and eggs. Laundry is underway and the dishwasher has been unloaded. More laundry shall follow.

Just finished cleaning up after much white paintage in the shop. **FCD **and I grabbed an early breakfast, then ran to Lowe’s for a sheet of plywood and a few other things he needed for the shop. I got some roller covers and new paint brushes because our old ones are pretty crappy.
While he built and installed shelves under his work tables, I painted the board behind the circuit breaker box, a board where all the hardware bins will be mounted, and the covering over the back of daughter’s desk, so the entry to the shop will look more professional. I think I managed to clean most of the paint off my arms, and the paintbrush is definitely clean.
First load of laundry in the dryer, second in the washer - 2 or 3 more to go, depending on how I feel. Busy day for me.
Roxy is enroute to her other grandmother’s. It’s rained on and off, and it shall continue to do so thru tomorrow. Our business open house will be June 20, so I need to come up with an assortment of finger foods for our potential customers. I don’t think a big bag of popcorn will suffice…

Yesterday I was teenager chauffeur. It’s graduation party season, with a dollop of birthday parties. Today I am wrung out, but may still go off to sell the trailer.
The weather is headed into the 90s again today, and back to triple digits tomorrow. Phooey.
I meant to tell you Swampy that my dad has taken to going to Men’s breakfast over at the church. I always think of you when he mentions it. 
(I’d prefer dinner myself, but it’s not my group. :p)
that’s easy fcm …if you have a store with a deli in it just grab a tray of prepared chicken wings… and a tray of those cute cut up sandwiches, shouldn’t cost more than 30 and no cooking, etc involved
Howdy Y’all! Deheathenization was quite the event today. The power went out about twenty minutes before the Luterun service and was out until almost eleven, right after the start of the Whiskypalian service. No coffee between services! :eek: I went over to the church house around eight this mornin’ because my [del]church janitor[/del] Junior Warden senses were tinglin’ due to sky lookin’ like some evil weather was afoot and I was right. Fortunately there is a lot of natural light in the church proper and the hall so it was not complete darkness and the emergency lights worked. All in all we survived. We grabbed some MickeyD’s for N.O.L. and brought it to da cave to eat. Now all is well and nappage shall ensue.
Well, fine then, I’ll just talk to myself!
We achieved nappage. I have hauled the biiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. Any need to feed shall be via forage. 'Tis rainy out and I am glad to be inside and dry.

**FCD **finally quit working just before 5, and we went to Texas Roadhouse for supper. I’s stuffded. My remaining chores are folding our unders then cleaning the critter fountain. Then I crash. It’s been a busy coupla days, and I gotta go to work tomorrow, but I’ll be off Tuesday, so there’s that.
Heathenization went well. It was still raining on and off when I got home, so Nelson has totally missed out on the dog park this weekend. I did, however, get to watch the end of the air show from the patio and got a few pics.
We have a pool possum. And apparently possums get annoyed when you point and yell “POSSUM!”.

Some of the soccer teams I wanted to see played at 8am this morning, so I wandered over there (about 20 miles) at 7:15am and one thing led to another, so I didn’t leave there until about 2pm. From there I went directly to the Metro Diner and had my cholesterol burger (a 1/2 lb burger with a shredded lettuce/finely diced pickle/mayo sauce, sandwiched between two grilled cheese on sourdough with bacon and tomato). Delicious, but I have not inclination to eat anything more today (and maybe most of tomorrow). Then came home and vegetated some.

Red, glad the airshow was able to proceed.
Spidey, on occasion the takeoff pattern from Huntsville is right over my house, so I get a 5:15am wake-up some days when the pilot doesn’t climb out fast enough.
Swampy, saw the note that the lights have returned to the church. Hope all is well down there.
Butters, glad Lucky Louie is doing better. You too.
