Trolls R Us Resurrections (Part 2)

@Shagnasty and @SlackerInc are two of the bro-ish misogynistic posters I recall who may have used language like that.

Now that you say that my plagiarism meter is signaling signs of @Shagnasty style in Past_Paper’s prose.

IDK if the @moderators use a plagiarism comparison tool but if so, my advice is to give that lead a whirl.

This is already being discussed in the mod loop. We’ll decide soon, I think. Weekends can make it more challenging to get a consensus.

That summary is giving me MW_Degen_Gamblr vibes.

I’ve stayed at various shelters and “Safe Havens”, and food is not hard to come by in Manhattan / New York City, especially with multiple “Walk-In Centers (or “Day Centers”)” around

Not to brag, but when it comes to actually liking listening to women talk, or a straight guy actually wanting to hang out with girls/groups of women, I’m like kinda one of the best of all time  Remember that episode of American Dad in which Stan takes “Estrocillin” pills to help him listen to women? That drug could probably be synthesized from my DNA/blood sample

The L.A. River Culvert is an acceptable term

But I’m not “trolling” anybody

Many hotels in the Times Square area alone have a lobby computer and the like, no sign-in required

Yeah, but that’s a real thing sometimes, and honestly I actually dialed-back in my OP/responses in that thread. I mean some of these shelter / safe haven workers are actually very crooked unfortunately, and also biased, racist, et al

Ah, the trock of the week has entered the troll spotting thread. Usually the last straw before the ban hammer. Goodbye, I’m out.

Maybe you should just close that “homeless” thread I started and just lock it. I didn’t start that thread to “troll” any posters here, I was being completely serious, and I’ve gotten some good replies in there (including learning the term “hobosexual” which is actually a slang term people use, I didn’t know that! )

I’ve suspended until Monday morning while we review your posting privileges.

Bingo.

Me too.

Continuing the discussion from Trolls R Us Resurrections (Part 1):

Maybe he saw one of those documentaries on TV about the building of the water supply infrastructure to LA and the concrete channels part stuck in his mind?

ETA: Composed and posted this when this thread had just opened with no other posts; saw what’s happened in the interim, decided not to never-mind it.

Ditto.

I continue to learn new things about the world. I’m fascinated to learn that the best hotels in Manhattan provide computers and free internet access to homeless bums who wander into their lobby. It’s definitely an innovative business model that’s sure to pay big dividends, especially if the aforementioned homeless bum has not had a bath in several months!

I’ve only been to L.A. once and never seen the river, but purely based on its Wiki page, that does look a lot like a culvert. I mean, they filmed the race scene from Grease there.

Large parts are encased in concrete, but not all of it. See the pictures on this site:

In LA, what we call culverts are a lot narrower than the LA river.

I have seen the LA River in person, and the parts i saw looked a lot like a culvert to me. Yes, a large culvert. But … That thing doesn’t read “river” to my East Coast eyes, at least, not the part that’s a concrete culvert, which is the part I’ve seen.

Which is vaguely interesting but still just goes to show the board is basically like a bunch of squirrels and all any troll has to do is toss something shiny at them every now and then and watch the ensuing scramble

:musical_notes: Walking along by the L.A. River
This river’s such a joke and so am I

-E, “L.A. River”
