Wouldn’t be nice if the Racing form just said that, up front.
They do. They just don’t tell you which one’s the fastest.
Thanks for the tip!
Wait, did you say the fast one or the last one? Eh, I’m sure it’ll be fine.
I almost responded to that post of his withAs have you. Luckily I read the rest of the thread and saw the warning and mod instruction.
I lack handicapping skills.
It’s a personal failing, I’m working on it.
I’ve got a 45 of that song.
…and that made all the difference.
We’ve had a lot more annoying “name” threads than a “Hey, does anyone know someone named Dakota?” thread. In a single thread, someone thought that “Gage” was misspelled, and another thread in which someone else thought that Anastasia was the most ridiculous name imaginable because it came from a movie. And neither of those guys were trolling (probably)
There are approximately 7117 different languages currently. Anyone want to guess the next one they start a thread about?
Volapük
They should branch out. How about “Is Pig Latin poetry a dying art form?”
JFC, he started a thread on Ilokano being endangered, which is the third or fourth largest language in the Philippines. Why doesn’t he start a thread on Agta, which has less than 50 speakers? For that matter, why doesn’t he start a thread on Chavacano, an actual Spanish creole?
Now I like that.
Makes me want to post a topic asking folks if they think there’s been a decline in the Toki Pona language.
I think we’re one step closer to a reveal with their latest effort, Why did the Turkish culture and language not spread?. Once you start just asking questions about the spread of certain languages (and especially “cultures”) relative to others, it’s easy to start testing out the waters of white supremacy.
I don’t know; that sort of tremendous breadth with almost no depth of knowledge about something one is obsessed with is fairly typical of autism (to the extent that anything is typical of autism). I think that’s a much likelier explanation than trolling.
I feel much more comfortable diagnosing someone with trolling than with autism because, you know, I am not a doctor.
In any event, I’m fairly open-minded: trolling isn’t an activity reserved for the neurotypical.
+1. That, and the blindness to the ability to “read the room”. The style reminds me very much of Lucy 700 and Buddhism Guy.
Agreed; see “special interest”.
Do you mean Machinaforce? They were just a troll, IMO.
