No no no. Go further. Bring up legal issues.
That was one of our semi-regular trocks. Mold and dirty sink are among the clues.
There is more of course.
Cornfielded.
And here I got up @ 5 am to try to beat the morning trock cleanups, and missed all the fun, again.
I knew it.
Serious question, if you knew it, why did you engage more than once? Best to ignore these trolls. I know it is hard, but by feeding it, it encourages them to come back again and again.
IDK. I felt like picking at them.
I’ll refrain from it in the future.
Cool. I know sometimes it is hard to resist.
The moldy, dirty apartment one seems to be very single minded and consistent. I suspect as long as he gets answers, he’ll keep coming back.

So question to our frequent mod members of the discussion, @What_Exit and @Miller. Much was made of poster Humans, both here and in what was fundamentally their dedicated Pit Thread:
If I pull up one of their posts, there is no Banned notice, but if I hove over it, it says “This User is no longer active”. If I try to pull up their profile, it says “Oops! That page doesn’t exist or it’s private.”
So they’re kind of a Schrödinger’s troll right now: are they here but gone quiet/moved on, or was there a ban that I missed. Because if I hover over someone with a private profile, it says “This poster has a private profile” NOT the message I mentioned earlier.
I mean, I’m not going to cry if a likely troll got banned, I just want to remove the uncertainty.
Just FTR, I’m seeing the same things you are on my Android phone. When I go to do a straight up user search for Humans the poster in question doesn’t even show up. I can pull up every other username that has the word human in it, except that one.
Could just be a glitch of some kind? I know the board has had some interface issues a couple of times this year.
Humans left in a huff, saying we should delete his profile. I semi-accommodated by deactivating the account instead. I’m not sure I tried this before. He can answer an email to reactivate it though. Not officially banned at all.
He was also here a short enough time that we wouldn’t have bothered with a formal announcement but I probably would have mentioned it here if I did it.
Sorry for the delay, busy weekend. Attended a wedding yesterday and a 6 mile garden tour today. I’m bushed.
Six miles, huh? That’s a long garden.
No worries! Everyone has a real life away from here. It is a small relief knowing it’s not the board glitching out again.
More like 20 and much walking between but I’ve been to a couple gardens before where walking 6 miles in the garden was a thing. One in Scotland and one on a Dope Outing.
Thanks @What_Exit - and no, there was no worries about time in replying, it wasn’t even a major concern, just one of those mental itches I had to scratch. Oh, and yes, credit for you for frequently notifying the thread when one of the suspects is formally outed even when it’s not in ATMB. It’s one of the reasons I mentioned that I wondered if I missed it.
Mods must be careful that their consideration can easily become our entitlement!
-snicker-
I’m a couple days late on this, but anyone else see dgy take the equivalent of half a page to explain why it is way too much work for him to type out the word “recipe” and so must use “Rx” instead.
Again, we’re back to “abbreviations nobody understands or misunderstands, because everybody is supposed to know what they mean.” I can suss out “recipe” for “Rx” easily enough, but not everything.
Example: Recently on another board, a poster was asking for travel tips for a vacation in Toronto, then NF, then Montreal, then Quebec, and on to Halifax.
Umm … “NF” is the abbreviation for “Newfoundland” (though recently changed to “NL” for “Newfoundland and Labrador”). You don’t go to Toronto, then Newfoundland, then to Montreal.
The OP came back, saying that he meant “Niagara Falls.” Well, NF doesn’t mean that to Canadians!
I kept thinking Rx like pharmacy. Or fix a recipe.
Very confusing.
I quit reading their post because of that. Long winded enough?
The worst are airport codes, and when people use them as shorthand for places. “So I was in ORD, and bla-de-bla. A couple of weeks later, I was in DFW, where we found the best restaurant. From there, we went to SAN.”
I’m in Canada, where using airport codes to designate a place is unheard of. Mainly because ours make no sense. Hell, I was born in YYZ, and have lived in YEG, YQL, and YYC. Thankfully, I’ve never flown into YUL, but I have too much experience with YVR. I have flown into into YZF though. Fascinating place.
If you know what I’ve just described, great. If you don’t, then think about how I feel when Americans start going on about living in MSP or HNL or BWI, and not in relation to airports.
Write the name of the city out people! If we can write out “recipe” instead of “Rx,” then we can certainly write out Minneapolis, Honolulu, and Baltimore. Plus Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago, and San Diego. Hell, I just did!
ETA: Let’s end this hijack here, and get back to discussing trolls.
I’ve lived in the USA all my life; but I rarely fly. I have no idea what the airport codes are, so they’re no help to me either. I think I might recognize Atlanta’s because I had to change there several times, but I don’t even remember the codes of the endpoint airports.
Mind you, train stations use the same codes as their nearby airports. Yup, I’ve taken the train out of LAX often enough.
