Trolls R Us Resurrections

Maybe she didn’t read the post in question.

Thanks. That’s quite the clunky and quite offensive way of making their point. But I feel, had they put that entire phrase in quotation marks, the point would have been made without the ensuing dust-up.

Only one person had an issue with it at the time.

I never said I used that term. I said it was commonly known as that(around here). It’s in the friggin’ dictionary.

Good grief.

Y’know what? When I don’t use a word, I do it by not actually using the word.

I was telling a fact of the matter that was asked.

Just cause you wanna pretend it doesn’t exist doesn’t make it less true.

I do not EVER call people nasty racist or filthy derisive terms. Not my family, not my friends, not my associates, not my pets.

Is that plain enough?

I’ve stated very clearly here, I was taught better than to call people ugly names, I don’t like it. I taught my kids not to do it. I don’t allow it in my home.

It seems to me the internet and online sites have brought out the nasty side of humans, in this, in real life.
People need to learn manners in a civil society.
IMH fuckin’ O.

(See you can still curse without calling a person a bad name)

That’s not what he’s saying.

Well, sure it’s not.

I thought I’d just spout off.

I don’t use the n-word in most conversation. Or all really. The OP in that thread was asking for common names of plants. They are called that by some people. Decades ago.

Not by me.

I answered a question. Ill-advised, yeah. But I did it. I own it.

Jesus, is even this topic going to turn into another episode of Boring Self-absorbed Southern Lady Hour?

I didn’t bring it up.

Put me on ignore if you hate me so much.

I promise it won’t hurt my feelings. At all.

In actual fact I’m kinda tired of your disparaging remarks into my character.

Have you considered using this as your sig?

X Three?

I didn’t think the debate about the nuanced appropriateness of racial slurs in indirect contexts could be any stupider, but congratulations, additional stupidity has been achieved.

If you mean decades ago not today, you probably shouldn’t use present tense verbs every time you mention it.

Oh goody. Grammar class.
:expressionless:

I don’t know why anyone continued engaging Galactus the ostrich in the Gacy thread by @Two_Many_Cats2 when there’s a perfectly good cite to the contrary in post #8. Y’all could have simply directed it there and refused to engage further; 'course, now there’s no choice.

If I were a troll, I would be posting on the SDMB everyday. I have an addictive personality!

Also, I dont understand how that thread was trollish. I did not attack anyone.

Yes, I’m a bit strange. I’ll own that.

I re-read the FAQs and the registration agreement. There wasn’t any mention of max thread amounts. If there was any mention elsewhere, I must have overlooked it.

I’m comfortable starting new threads because i’m an elder millenial. I’m quite familiar with how message boards operate. Though I admit i’m new to discord. I’m more used to the vBulletin format. But I posted on many message boards in my early adulthood. Such as City Data, Quarterlife Crisis, Don Juan (pick up artists) message boards. I lost interest when Facebook started taking off. Now Facebook is starting to suck, and my interest in message boards are picking back up. I guess i’ve gone full circle.

That cite wouldn’t have made any difference.

He thinks that the clown victims just aren’t alive to confirm it. Absence of evidence isn’t evidence of absense, and all.

Start as many threads as you like.

You’ll outlast that. I’m living proof.

Your other qualities? eh, whatever. You do you.
