I reached out to him by DM. He replied, but basically just said, “I’m fine”. But honestly, those posts don’t seem terribly out of character to me. He often posts something off-topic that’s silly or social or both, and that’s pretty much what those posts were. My guess is he was drunk and thought it would be funny to bump a lot of threads. And he was still in control enough to do it in the pit, where he was unlikely to get into any real trouble.
He probably should have earned a suspension for that though. You ended up letting him off very easy. We don’t want to encourage such behavior or excuse it and have a rule that is basically against it.
But hey, I just got Spoons out of trouble, so I guess we’ll call it a Holiday leeway or something.
I hate to see Trolls succeed and that troll I removed this morning was trying to get a rise out of posters.

No, but bumping/spamming a bunch of threads there is a rule against. Mostly this rule:
Excessive posts. Do not post the same or similar messages or threads to multiple forums; multiple threads on the same topic; or an excessive number of threads on any topic within a limited period of time.
Miller closed those reports, not me. I didn’t moderate at all, i just reached out to him because i was worried about him.

Well then he shouldn’t mind. He actually reported two posts that I saw, but I didn’t really read them for details. When he showed up I thought he was a troll.
User Lisalrby joined the site 28 minutes ago and their first and only post, five minutes later, is in the “yacht rock” thread in Cafe Society where they’ve posted a single paragraph that I’m pretty sure is what you’d get if you copy-pasted the thread title into ChatGPT, and it has a bare link to google dot com on the end.
I suspect trollery or at least general shenanigans of some description.

I think everyone here has probably already noticed troll Bbbb. Their schtick of “I really hate Elon, but it’s so hard to criticize him because he’s such a genius” is a bit transparent.
