A grand majority of the liberal posters on the Dope are not local, but are from the Democratic Underground. They stop off at Daily Kos to get their login IDs and the Saudis fund their registration fees.

I disagree. Socialism suggests a general control of resources by the entire community; the people are the ones with the power and there is a goal of equality. Nazi policy, on the other hand, was for a general control of resources by the state and government, and for Nationalisation of companies, as well as the general view that a certain segment of the population were superior. The treatment of Jews and of minorities pretty clearly shows their uncaring nature in terms of social welfare. As far as “central planning” goes, conservatism demands *small * government, not just singular government. And to the contrary, the Nazi government was considerably bogged down in bureacracy.
And, as I have pointed out through my earlier cites, liberalism is actually highly linked with capitalism.

This stuff is not about fairness. It’s about creating a new utopia. An unneeded one, since the free market does everything that is needed except for the disabled. The truly disabled need help, and so do people between jobs. No need to go bankrupt if you’re laid off and can’t find something for 6 months.
If we’d stick that, which now I guess is economically libertarian, we’d be a lot better off.
