So, where does our star stand on Scientology?

Liberal is relative.

So words mean what ever you want them to mean? No wonder you are having a hard time gaining any traction here.
Martyrdom is the last refuge of those who cannot support their claims.

You’re right, it was just an honest question though.

Where did I say I think that socialism is good? I haven’t “fallen” for anything.
Note, please, that your own definition of socialism doesn’t match Nazi policy either. So sigh right back at you, mon ami, since you’ve replied to my every argument with an attempted tangent rather than address my points. Liberalism is more linked with capitalism than conservatism. Liberals are more likely to support capitalism than conservatives. I’ve provided cites. I’ve provided argument. Prove me wrong, or withdraw your point, please.
Ok, liberals are more capitalist than conservatives are.
Happy?

Well, I would prefer “Liberals are more likely to support capitalism than conservatives” but yes. I’d be even happier if you provided some actual argument against me, though. But hey, beggars can’t be choosers.
Last post was just an exercise in absurdity. Made me throw up a little in my mouth really. But if he wants so bad to believe leftists are capitalists, then he needs it.
And the democrat congress is hated more.
People are just pissed. I’m not sure why though. Unemployment is historically low, the stock market is at records (but you don’t see that in the media)…
However, I’ll admit Bush pisses me off a lot with the amnesty stuff.
No, it isn’t.
Yeah they are. I know why: conservatives. It isn’t. It is, and the media is covering it all the time.
Good. You deserve to be pissed off. Because you are a communist because of the way you’re always reading about communists.
(Hey, this is fun!)

Well, marx supported capitalism more than Adam Smith. Is that better for your twisted little mind?

You really don’t know how an argument works, do you?
You said (paraphrasing) “There’s a bunch of threads about how much people hate Bush. It’s kook central.”
I pointed out that these days that hating Bush is the dominant view. Rathering than being the kook perspective, it’s the mainstream perspective.
Your response is to change the subject to the “democrat [sic] congress”.
If you can’t put together a coherent argument to support your position, you’re never going to prevail.

I believe that NK is islamic, god created dinosaurs and adam at the same time, and jesus died for your sins!
Isn’t it fun to stereotype socio-economic convervatives!? Oh, but liberals NEVERRRR are bigots or prejudiced, RIGHT?

You need to learn how to read. I said I know Bush isn’t popular. That doesn’t make him wrong though. He is wrong on many subjects IMO, but not anymore than clinton or carter or nixon or lbj was.
Trotsky, please, please become a liberal. You’ll do us conservatives much more good that way.

- I’m not looking to be accepted. In fact, on a left leaning board like this, I sure don’t want to be.

This illustrates the problem, and it’s not just that you’re a right-wing nut job. You view your fellow citizens who disagree with your politics as the enemy instead of participants the democracy that you’re a part of (for good or ill). Look up the phrase “loyal opposition” you un-American piece of shit. ![]()

Just because I don’t want to fit in a leftist board means you are the enemy.
Well, I don’t want to fit into a lot of things, that doesn’t mean they’re my enemy.
I’m not like you people. I welcome open discussion.

Well hey, my views are based on, let’s call it, evidence. Since you’ve provided no backing or indeed no cites for your view - well, let’s say your views are not based on evidence.
I’m perfectly happy to have my views based on actual evidence. If you want so desperately to believe something that you’ll ignore evidence - feel free, mon ami.
Cite, si’l vous plait. And, if possible actually make an argument rather than a statement. How mature of you to stoop to insults.

Middles class incomes are stagnant, and big ticket items such as houses, cars, health care and education cost more in constant dollars than they did a generation ago.

Huh? Every time the markets cross a new benchmark, you can’t turn on a news channel without hearing it touted right and left. Stock markets are supposed to go up. The only reason “record highs” are notable now is because they have been absent for most of the Bush administration.
What Diogenes said.
