Trotsky. For the lack of God, Trotsky.

That is some world-class, and I mean impressive, imagination.

Just because I don’t want to fit in a leftist board means you are the enemy.

Well, I don’t want to fit into a lot of things, that doesn’t mean they’re my enemy.

I’m not like you people. I welcome open discussion.
Huh. That’s quite a spin you’ve put on guppy’s post. You’ve managed to alter the meaning of it precisely 180 degrees, so that you’re responding to an argument that is exactly the opposite of the argument that was put to you.

How do you do that? It’s very impressive!
You need to learn how to read. I said I know Bush isn’t popular. That doesn’t make him wrong though. He is wrong on many subjects IMO, but not anymore than clinton or carter or nixon or lbj was.
You said:

This is incorrect. Hating Bush is now the mainstream opinion. So the fact that there are a lot of threads about how much people hate Bush is, in fact, not evidence that we’re kooks, but rather that we’re in tune with the general population.

If there were lots of threads about how great Bush is and what a great job he’s doing … that would be a fringe kook opinion.

I think you’ve been spending a lot of time on right-wing web sites and you’ve lost touch with the actual attitudes of the American people.
That tears it, we’ve been had by a precocious teenager. Hey Skaterboi, pull up your pants, and straighten that cap!
Precocious? Precocious?

I fear I must object, even as a now-adult, my good sir.

ETA: I have no other comment, so I’ll leave this one up, but I would like to say that I didn’t realize the thread had proceeded that far since I last posted. Sorry. :smack:

This may be the fastest growing thread in the history of SDMB. A little more thatn three hours old and already well into four pages.

You did mention that any leftist would slit your throat given the chance. That has a certain ring of hostility.
… Haven’t you read marx, engels, and lenin? …
In Soviet union, Lenin reads you!
I believe that NK is islamic, god created dinosaurs and adam at the same time, and jesus died for your sins!

Isn’t it fun to stereotype socio-economic convervatives!? Oh, but liberals NEVERRRR are bigots or prejudiced, RIGHT?
If one were to design a poster to be the perfect thorn in the side of the SDMB, they’d drive an SUV, believe in creationism, take a job as a snobby waiter, be a conservative Catholic, vote for Bush, use a Nextel cell phone on which they text message all the time (while driving their SUV), and be against abortion and for bombing the fuck out of the middle east. They would also be Scientologists (when not being Catholic), be rude to their waiters and waitresses (when not actually being servers themselves), and believe in ESP and ghosts.

My point was not that you probably are a Jesus-horse-riding fundie (and again, I’m not making that assumption), but instead that the SDMB has certain topics or positions that are guaranteed to arouse a great deal of hostility. You’ve nailed one of them. Sapo was perhaps pointing out that it would be amusing if you somehow nailed another. I merely provided another topic that is somewhat exothermic on the boards here.

I’m sure I’m missing some of them in my list there, but the point is, it was a joke. Lighten up.

Trotsky is like yeast.

A fungus.

Bush wishes he had Nancy Pelosi’s job approval ratings.
However, if you really want to be my enemy.. I’ll meet you on the field someday I guess.
Who said I want to be your enemy? You’re the one calling people members of al qaeda not me. Oh, and you’d have better luck finding me in a tavern than in a field.

Sigh.. Kookdom is to take it so personally. Most people don’t ‘hate bush’ like you do and take it to this sick level. They may dislike him, and may disagree.

You guys enter kookdom with the psychotic hatred. It’s not heathly.

Again, I read DU, kos, bartop, truthout.. And right sights.

You act like people can’t make up their own minds and must subscribe to the leftist view point. Maybe you have, so you think that is the only way?

Now that made me laugh finally.

Independent of any supporting evidence. That is the very definition of ignorance.

Well, basically you’re saying that anyone that’s not a leftist echo chamber is a thorn in the side of this place.

I’m sure a gay, jihadist, chomsky supporting homeless person with aids would be loved.

Now.. Are you trying to insult me or compliment me by saying I’m a thorn in this place’s side?

Don’t flatter yourself. The only way you could be a thorn in the side of liberals here would be if you presented evidence that challenged our beliefs. You are nowhere near thorn status, more like a feather; that’s it, a little feather that makes us laugh.

That, and nobody seems to be very busy at work today, so we all have the time to mock you mercilessly.

Gays? Loved, and why not? Jihadists? Wouldn’t get too far. Nobody likes violent assholes here, especially those who are violent in the name of God. Chomsky supporting? Might draw support from a few, but quite a bit of fire from others. Homeless? What’s wrong with the homeless? AIDS? Why would I, or anyone with half a brain for that matter, look down on someone with AIDS? What an interesting set of characteristics you’ve singled out. :dubious:

Neither. Debate is fun, and that’s why everyone comes here. That said, being a thorn for the sake of being a thorn is called something else.

Hey Dickhead,

I’m still waiting for you to apologize to me for questioning my patriotism.
