Trouble in Paradise (Mafia Game Thread)

I’m going here for the night. I’ll see how wrong I’ve been playing so far.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Day After Halloween!

I’ll be happier the day after Wolflynch.

Just a reminder: Night ends 25 hours from now. If you have a night power and have not yet sent it to me, make sure that you do so before Daybreak.

Oy, Sorry Sario. I was on the wrong side of the pitchfork on this one.

I have no idea why I made Day/Nights end at noon, since I will never be at my computer at noon on a weekday. Expect my update closer to 1 PM.

Hey, the wolves already got their extra hour with the whole daylight savings thing.

I think it would be fine to move the end a few hours to a more convenient time to you. We’ll have five days notice if done for a day or 48 hours if night.

I assume he means the update will be delayed but the night still ended 40 minutes ago, as per the OP. Although of course we can’t really start meaningful discussion again until we know the outcome of the night.

And yes, I realise your post was almost certainly tongue-in-cheek anyway.

If easier, for D2 and so forth, we could just move the deadline to 1 PM. Or not. I guess it does not matter.

Yes.

But the waiting for results is a nerve-wracking (racking?) part of the game.

Really? I find it refreshing. Refresh, refresh, refresh…

*To say that the night was nerve-wracking would be an understatement of the highest order. We all slept fitfully in our huts, wondering who would come for us in the night.

And though sleep did come for me, eventually, I was startled awake in the middle of the night by a terrible scream. Were I a more courageous man (or woman, who can tell with the narrative being as vague as it is?), I would have rushed from my hut to confront what was surely a beastly attacker! But I did not. I cowered in abject fear.

When morning came, we cautiously crept from our places of rest. Most of us. One of the huts contained a scene so grisly that I shan’t describe it in detail for fear that one of frail constitution may, somehow, later read these notes. Suffice it to say that it was appalling beyond all reason.

We buried one of the bodies, tossed the other to the ocean, and convened to discuss the events of the previous night.*

Astral Rejection, a standard village Citizen, has been killed.
Prof. Pepperwinkle, a werewolf goon, has been killed.

Day 2 begins here. It will end Friday at noon EST, but I will be nowhere near a computer until that evening, so I’m afraid you’ll have to wait on me.

Well, ying tong iddle i po! That’s a nasty surprise.

It’s gonna be a lot quieter around here.

That could have been worse. Sorry to see Astral go. I need to re-read D1 now to see how the Prof P lynch got derailed yesterday.

Sardo see you go Astral

Yay for dead wolf.

Vote switching shenanigans are certainly a possibility.

Consider me part of it. Well, not that I derailed the lynch, but I have said I did not suspect Prof. P. It’s true; I didn’t.

I guess you were all right. I’m pretty surprised I was wrong, but this goes to show how hard it is to get a good read.

That was unexpected. Both in that I didn’t think Prof P was a wolf and that he died. Astral, on the other hand, was hardly shocking (talkative, veteran player).

That will make for interesting re-reading.

Well, at the expense of a Townie, we at least know that we also have either a Vigilante or an SK. Hopefully this will work out in Towns favor.

No vote for me just yet.
