Well, I guess Tomba is gone. Let’s hope we were right…
You should probably wait for the official deadness to be confirmed
Ha, nice simulpost. I see no reason why not, provided you don’t come back and post anything substantive here (which isn’t allowed during the night anyway). But I don’t want to junior-mod the game. Johnny did warn us it would be a while before the official update. I’ll be checking later on and (hopefully) posting more analysis next Day.
Actually, is it possible for someone to have a power role that could save WFT? If so, he should definitely wait for confirmation.
OK, I’ll wait.
There should be a Mafia role called the Poopsmith, who can cast votes but cannot talk. That would be funny/annoying.
I have seen roles known as a Scotsman, where they can survive one lynch, often town aligned.
Also seen roles that can cause posting restrictions on another poster , sometimes forcing them to be quiet and other to make them post in certain ways. Not a fan of that as it really takes the motivation out from the targeted player to play a game, similar with alignment change mechanisms
Also saw a ‘politician’ role, where the targeted player had to vote the same as the politician . Interesting in that it helped the targetee know who the politician was as you had to follow their vote, making the politician a town confirmed player. It was in a game with a Boarda count voting mechanism , which was interesting, but possibly flawed.
*Today wasn’t a bad day. I did a bit of fishing, swept the area in front of my hut, and finally fixed that bit of the roof that’s been leaking during heavy rain. It’s nice how much time you have when you don’t spent it all arguing and bickering, but rather come to a conclusion with haste and firm resolve.
Maybe tomorrow we’ll come to a good conclusion, but one step at a time.*
WF Tomba, a standard village Citizen, has been lynched.
It is now night. Players with the ability to communicate at night may do so. All night actions are due to me by Monday at noon, EST.
Finally my restless spirit can move on to the next plane of existence.
We can still win this thing! We have all our power roles, whatever they may be. Good luck!
Well . . . crap. I was really sure about that vote, too. Sorry, WFTomba - we seem to be lynching all the wrong people.
I’ve been meaning to participate more, but it looks like I’ll have to wait out the Night before posting some analysis. Until then . . . rereading.
Alas poor WFT
Time to start drinking and hope to make it through the night.
A WTF seams appropriate , 2 parts gin, one part run, 1 part lime juice
Or 2 parts whiskey, 1 part Jeagermeister, dash of Angoustours and Bonal , with a twist of orange
Screw it , give me both.
I am very sorry, **WFTomba **. I was wrong. Time to step away and regroup.
Son of a…sorry WFTomba. I was on the wrong side of the pitchfork on this one too. When does this get easier?
Seems like a long night with a lot of apologies. I’m sorry we lynched a townie, but that’s part of the game. My vote was because I thought Tomba was scum, and I’d do it again. And inevitably will vote a townie again. And while I found Biotop’s vow to step away before he uses four letter words very gentlemanly, let’s not forget that we are facing deceptive, lying werewolves who are trying to kill us all off. We are not sitting around the campfire singing kumbayah.
Still a few hours to dawn
I grew up playing the card game “Oh Shucks!” because in my family instead of “Oh Hell!” that’s what we called it.
Needless to say when I suggested playing this game in my first-year dorm at UVA, I was mercilessly teased.
So, night is officially over, but I guess it wouldn’t be kosher to start discussing strategy again, given the likelihood that at least one of us is a dead person walking?
*Last night I dreamed of home. Of the flowering garden where I often took long, contemplative, walks. I dreamed of the heat of the sun upon my head and the crisp, fall promise of autumn. I dreamed, too, of a hideous scream piercing the air. Of life cut short too soon.
Upon waking, I found that only the second half of my dream was anchored in reality. I wish, with all my soul, that it had otherwise been the case.
We found him sprawled on the ground outside his hut, and there was a large hole in its thatched roof. Was he thrown through it? We have no way of knowing, and God forgive me if I pray that I never find myself in a position to learn the truth of it.*
Precambrianmollusc, the village Doctor, has been killed.
Day 3 begins here. It will end Friday at noon EST. Warning: I will be away on business for the entirety of next week. My flight leaves Monday morning, so I will likely end Night 3 early that morning rather than making everyone wait until I’m done flying across the country.
[/QUOTE]
Well bugger . Good luck all . Off to the forbidden thread .
Only one death last night. Interesting.
PcMollusc was hard on the heels of Dante. I’m thinking that’s why he was killed, but whether that means that Dante is scum or just that scum want us to think that Dante is scum is in the wine.
