True Blood 3.1: "Pack of Wolves"

I wouldn’t call it sexy, but he did have a sex dream about him.

heh, I must have blocked that out. Too funny, and good on them for the consistency.

I don’t think the drinking blood “causes” the dream - it does 2 things -

1.) Heightens awareness (primarily in small doses, drops, greater amounts obviously has other powers as well)
2.) Creates a link between you and the donor vampire

so, like stated above - I think the donor’s desire has an impact on the affect - clearly the reciever has less choice in the matter -

Just going on what I read in Twilight (Don’t kill me!), the weres have the ability to hear each other (pack animals) and they sort of move as one, communicating telepathically. They are also quick and probably very strong so might be a formidable force for the Vamps. (Just speculating out my ass here.)

I got the set of books for Christmas and have only made it halfway through the first because the show moved faster than the books and I wanted to know it all NOW! hehe I really should go back and start re-reading it, methinks.

Yes, but in the books it works both ways, actually. When humans and vampires exchange blood (not just one receiving it from the other) they both can feel the emotions of the other a little once a sufficient amount of blood has been exchanged. Sookie, for example, found herself being short with people at Merlotts for no good reason, and later found out it was because something had happened to really piss off the vampire she’d exchanged a lot of blood with due to various disasters.

good to know - haven’t read the books.

Twilight ≠ True Blood. Different weres. Totally different qualities.

Well, Bill sure made short work of those werewolves… So, when they are injured they resume human form?

Also guess we’ve got the answer re: dead trucker in the cellar…

Wife and I are such vamp whores, we even watched the crappy The Gates last night. Hope I am able to stick to my resolution to not repeat that mistake…

The King is an interesting character. He sure sets a lovely table! I read somewhere that they introduce a whole bunch of new characters early on this season, but that it starts to gel after a few episodes.

So, is Sam’s mother a shifter, but not his father?

His mother and brother are shifters. His dad isn’t.

Yes, obviously his brother is since we saw his inner Pitbull. I’m just wondering if the ability gets diluted with only one parent being the shifter. Maybe Mom is a Super-shifter…?

I like the show but there is something not very well resolved: immortality.
Finally, humanity has come to realize that vampires exist and that they are immortal. Who wouldn’t want to be a vampire?
And with true blood. Everybody could live for ever.

The religious folk. Plus, vampires don’t just let anyone become a vampire.

Also, vampires never age, which sounds great in theory but not in reality. Wasn’t that the reason that Godric sacrificed himself in the last season? And in the movie Daybreakers,

there was a vampire who committed “suicide” for the same reason.

Did we start talking about the next episode in the previous episode thread? I haven’t seen this week’s episode yet, and some of the conversation doesn’t sound familiar. Did we learn which of Sam’s relatives were shapeshifters in the season premiere?

Not a huge deal either way as I don’t care about spoilers; I’m just confused. Did I forget some scenes?

No, post 88 and onwards talk about the next episode.

We learned in this most recent episode that Sam’s mom and brother are shifters but his dad is not.
