I was surprised Sookie didn’t just feed Eric and keep him safe from the sun that way instead of silvering him.
Sure, it wouldn’t last long, but who knows, maybe it gets the “must be in sun” shit outta his system and he can get back in before going up in flames.
I’m also surprised that in 400 years witchie-poo didn’t come up with a whole new plan the vamps wouldn’t already have knowledge about how to prepare against.
Not really giving a shit about Alcide or Layfayette’s storylines. Hopefully Layfayette’s will actually get interesting now that he’s interacting with the devil baby. Alcide, unless there’s some big showdown with his new pack and the rest of the town coming, I don’t even understand why he’s even in this season. He’s done nothing that they couldn’t have tweaked the script slightly and done without him. Not that he’s a bad character or actor or anything, just he seems so underused as to be pointless. Oh, here’s our 30 second cameo of Alcide for the episode! Enjoy!
Some people kind of look forward to seeing Alcide, storyline or not. If he was not on this season, I’m sure an outcry would be heard all throughout the land.
Tommy has to go. He is one untrustworthy prick. Alcide and Sookie have to end up together. they spend a lot of plot time developing that.
Jessica looks way to good to kill off. They spent a lot of time on her. the tension between, Hoyt, her and Sookies brother.
Anna/Alex have NO chemistry. I agree Eric is just yummy. I wonder if it’s because she’s married to someone else. Maybe she’s holding back. I hope Bill/Sookeh hook up again. I don’t like Sookah with anyone else.
I’m really starting to dislike Jessica. If she survives, though, I hope her and Jason have a hot sex scene.
This episode was a mix of awesome and shitty. Too much filler. I hope some vampires die. They have way too many characters.
I hate to say it, but I really feel bad for Debbie. Alcide should be honest with her.
I’m rooting for Antonia, but obviously she can’t win. Too bad. The vamps have it coming to them. Do that, nuke hotshot, have Sam turn into a Lion to rip Tommy to shreds, and we have the makings of a great episode.
What a surprise that Lafayette has magical powers. I’m pretty sure there’s not a single human being in the entire True Blood world that doesn’t have some sort of fucking magical power, yet somehow it was a shock to everyone when the vamps came into the open. SUPERNATURAL STUFF IN OUR WORLD? WHAT A SHOCK! Somehow we’ve missed every single fucking person having some magical power and every supernatural creature you can think of being real for all this time.
I actually laughed out loud at that part in the show, to the point my sweetie asked ‘What?’ . Yeah, by the point you’ve been tortured and are sentenced to die, ‘rape’ hardly falls into the category of making anything worse.
I’ve been assuming that the ghost-lady singing to the baby is the ghost of Renee’s mother. That’s if we’re assuming that the baby is the reincarnation of Renee, or whatever; I don’t know much french, but it sounded like what she was singing to Mikey had a lot of ‘Oh my little baby child’ stuff in it.
Or maybe it’s the reincarnation of yet some OTHER voodoo priest. I’m getting a little tired of the voodoo. Actually, yeah, just too many outrageous plotlines at once. It’s getting a little thick.
I couldn’t stop laughing during the part right before Jessica breaks out of the chains and she and Bill are screaming ‘THE SUN THE SUN’, it was like an amateur drama production. It felt so fake!
I’m pretty happy they didn’t draw out the conflict between Sam and the shifter chick. They figured out what happened pretty quick. I hope she can work it out with him, I like them together.
I’m kind of miffed that Eric either has to be an asshole or be a woobie. There’s a spectrum, and Eric can still be the asshole but be kind to someone he loves.
You and this manypeople Do you read the books? I’m curious because I don’t know any Sookie/Bill fans who do…
I assume she’s attached to the creepy-ass doll…does anyone get the feeling that Summer and Hoyt’s mom left it in the house because they knew it had a bad reputation? They couldn’t have known that it’d end up with the baby. And if the ghost was singing in French that makes me a little nervous because I thought she was singing aproximately the same words, and I don’t speak French, just English and Spanish.
Add me to the people who are really sick of Tara. She’s practically a non-entity in the books, so it wouldn’t bother me a bit if they changed things on the show and off’d her annoying ass here like they have so many other canon characters out of alignment with the novels. I guess it could be worse, it could be like Ball’s other big hit Six Feet Under when all the characters morph into assholes you don’t care about, not just one.
kushiel, I think they’re getting there, a middle ground between asshole and wooby Eric: jerk with a heart of gold, since he was already headed in a less asshole direction the last couple of seasons. Let’s see how he is once he gets (most of) his memory back.
No, I don’t read the books. You don’t have to read the books to see two actors have NO chemistry.
Reading other posts makes me think people forget what happened in the past seasons. I’m kind of annoyed Laffy has magical powers, but it was kind of being foreshadowed last season. Remember his crazy ass mother? I also assumed (I can’t remember if it was addressed) she was put away because she had magical powers. I’m pretty sure, but I don’t 100% remember he said he put her aways because she was seeing things that weren’t there. So, maybe she’s a medium too. Which make sense. Even if she wasn’t, his great great grandmother and her friend Winnie did magic. So, it was foreshadowed. Annoyed, but you all should have known it was coming.
I also wanted to say, I like Antonia, but don’t like Marnie (and the lady who plays her is hard on the eyes.)
Come to think of it, IIRC, the first time Lafayette went to go see her, she was speaking gibberish and seeing things. Lafayette apologized and thanked Jesus for putting up with her and (again IIRC) Jesus told Lafayette that he should be listening to her or that it’s not gibberish or something along those lines. At the time I think I remember just kind of blowing it off in a “respect your elders” or “she’s your mom, you should love her/listen to her/respect her” kind of way, but I guess there was more to it.
Hey, I’ve been wondering something about the last two episodes: do you hear them saying that Lafayette was possessed by Tio Luca or Tia Luca? I hear it as Tia…which is really wrong, unless they’re implying something odd about Jesus’ uncle.
I liked the bit at the beginning, when Pam was attacking Tara and the bystanders were all “Is she a zombie?” “We have ZOMBIES now?” and Pam goes “I’m not a zombie!”
This is pretty much the only episode of the season I’ve enjoyed. They’ve finally tied in at least a few of the extra plot-lines into the main witch plot, and spent minimal time (at least compared to past episodes) on random characters having their own boring adventures (does anyone care about werewolf-guys lovelife?)
