Great news! Does that mean everyone will stop constantly using non-spoiler-boxed book references, so that I can actually start reading these threads again?
I can’t believe they killed Calvin I’d hoped he’d be all redeemed later and stuff.
In regards to Jessica and Hoyt, do you think vampires in the True Blood universe can adopt? They can on the Gates. I’d love to see Nan on TV arguing that prolife people like the idjet from the FoS probably is should be happy that a couple wants to adopt, rather than encourage abortion
While this isn’t my favorite season finale, and I do agree that it didn’t feel much like one, I’m very pleased that Bill and Sookie are finally over. It’s good that the actors apparently didn’t throw a fit about the demise of their on-screen romance. I only worried because the creator hinted last year that he was doin’ his own thing with Bill and Sookie’s relationship.
Loved this season, but this was the weakest episode. Not nearly enough Jessica, I don’t care about Terry/Arlene/Baby Satan, Tara is drifting off again, Sookie can’t decide if she loves Bill or hates him and MASSIVE epic fail from Bill in not anticipating that Eric would summon his progeny for help and for sending a dog to do a vampire’s job.
Still love the show, but Hoyt’s mother better not kill Jessica and I almost wish Bill would tell Sookie “I don’t care how hot your body is or how delicious your blood is, you’re too much of an unstable bitch!” and then drain her.
I’m guessing that Hoyt takes a (wooden) bullet for Jessica, which shocks some sense into his mother, and then Jessica has to turn him in order for him not to die from the bullet wound.
I can’t get over how little the humans want to have supernatural powers on this show. I like the God Hates Fangs facsimile-angle they play up, but where are the hordes of people screaming, “Turn me! I’ll do anything!” like there so obviously would be in real life. The closest we got was a desperate and wounded Lafayette asking Eric to turn him - which took the characters by surprise. I want to follow another human into the vampire process in addition to Jessica. It would be great to see someone deserving and receiving vampirism as a gift as well as being taught there powers - which we’ve only gotten in twenty second glimpses from Bill and Jessica.
I thought the Talbot-down-the-drain scene was so out of character that I expected Sookie to just lose it entirely. I know she’s sick of all the supernatural crap, but to go from one extreme to the other so fast isn’t human. Not that she IS entirely human, but it jolted me out of the show. I haven’t been that much a fan of the character anyway…she IS highly annoying…but it’s getting worse. >.<
I got a kick out of the let’s make a deal scene with Sookie and Russel. I assume she knew what he was going to ask for and was just killing time seeing what it was worth to him. But Russel did make a good point. If it’s not him, it’s going to be someone…someone will always be after her. Maybe that’s why she took off for fairyville.
I also liked her sitting in Eric’s throne reading a gossip magazine.
Yeah, but she was trying to do an evil laugh while she was grinding up Talbot; it was just…weird. To me, anyway; I haven’t read the books. Maybe she really is as psychotic as she acts.
It seems like a lot of people are starting to get really overwhelmed with their lives. They went from a nice back country town to finding out no one is who they seem (even themselves) and most of their friends are supernatural…all in a few months. I think we might be seeing a lot of people getting psychotic as they reach their boiling points.
I’d say flushing Talbot down the drain was self defense. If her blood was what Russell was planning on using to bring Talbot back to life, she absolutely had to get rid of the remains.
