True Blood: Soul of Fire

I’m guessing they didn’t want to have Sam kill Emma’s father, as he’s presumably going to continue to be a part of her life. But he ended up dead anyway, so it’s OK.

I was waiting for Pam or Jessica to break out in the vampire equivalent of “Daddy don’t leave me!”

I’m not sure how I feel about the last two episodes and their divergence from the books. Eric remembers everything between him and Sookie: Yay. Sookie still loves fucking Bill too?! Boo! Yes, Bill is slightly less of a douchebag on the show than in the books, but come on.

For like the next ten seconds. You know what’s coming.

No, they’re not even distantly related. Sookie’s only living blood relatives in even the distant sense are Jason, Hadley, Hadley’s son Hunter, and a few fairies.
I’m a little mad a Jesus. I know things have been hectic lately, but if my boyfriend was possessed first by my dead uncle then a grieving mom, I think I’d make finding someone to teach him how to keep from getting possessed a big priority.
Would any book readers like to make a prediction about whether the next episode will include Crystal showing up pregnant at the end or if they’ll put it off until next season? I’m curious if they’ll handle that in a more…positive manner than the books, if only because HBO would like to avoid the similarity in plot outcome to two other shows in the past year, one on their own network.

Lumberg fucked 'er?

Who is Hadley?

Hadley is Sookie’s cousin, introduced last season. Remember the aquarium scene where Sookie was talking to a little boy? That’s Hadley’s son. She got mixed up in it because, IIRC, she was letting herself be a soda fountain for vampires.

I really think this show would be doing better if they’d stayed truer to the books. They’ve made a few positive changes, but most of their changes have been for the worse.

Ah yes the Queen’s special lady.

I’m hoping that this season teaches the writers that lesson. I was so looking forward to this season with Eric and Sookie, but they didn’t do it right. Memory-free Eric is a lot less childish in the book. But on the plus side, we don’t need to wait until season 8 for Eric to remember what happened between him and Sookie.
