I just saw a documentary on this. I also see that it’s been mentioned before in a thread about favorite Youtube videos. But I think it deserves it’s own thread. It’s just the sweetest thing I’ve seen in quite a while.

Having been sent to the hospital by a friendly lion this summer, I can only say those guys are two of the luckiest idiots alive.
Wow. I love when my cats are affectionate like that but they are less than 14 lbs. I can’t imagine a 600 lb lion not ripping me to shreds even with the most loving of intentions. My cats love me but it doesn’t stop them from clawing or biting when they get really playful and I can only imagine the lion would behave similarly.
