True or false

False, I’d rather wash the dishes.

TNP stays home for the upcoming holidays.

True, the family has other obligations so there will be no gathering this year.

TNP has little interest in ‘The Pit’ forum here on the Dope. They don’t object to it but they just don’t go there.

True, that pretty much describes me.

TNP has never owned a Toyota

True, never owned a car, driven one, or had a driver’s license.

TNP found money on the group this week.

True, if “group” was a typo for “ground”. I picked up a penny from the sidewalk.

The next player is going to the supermarket today.

Already gone this morning.

TNP is planning to buy something in a store on December 25th

Considering I’m going to be working that day, yeah, I’ll buy lunch probably.

TNP has had all their holiday shopping done for over a month.

Nope, just finished it yesterday.

The Next Poster has seen some version of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol this year.

Saw the 1951 Alastair Sim version about a week ago.

TNP owns at least one pair of wool socks

Gross, no wool socks, too scratchy, just cotton.

The next poster has never been to Hoover Dam.

False. Been there twice.

TNP has never been to Vegas.

True, nothing there to interest me, but I wouldn’t mind going to Lake Mead some day.

TNP likes to gamble.

Perhaps true. I find it mildly engaging, but not enough to travel to a casino with the express intent to gamble.

TNP likes Cajun food

I’m gonna say false but I’ve only really been exposed to the kind of cheap, mass produced stuff. Better quality meals from a real cook would probably get better results and I would be eager to sample it.

TNP knows the difference between Cajun and Creole cuisine.

Yes, but the lines are too blurred to be of any real significance anymore. Creole is more likely to contain tomatoes and be served in an upscale restaurant. Cajun is more down-home and likely to contain fish that you caught yourself. If there is roadkill involved then it’s definitely cajun

TNP will be one of six or more people at the table for Christmas dinner.

True. Dinner one: 21 diners. Dinner two: 41 diners.

TNP hears holiday music playing at this very moment.

Nope, I’m listening to the StarTalk podcast with Neil deGrasse Tyson.

TNP has absolutely no regrets over their holiday food/beverage over indulgences.

False. Regrets, I’ve had a few…

TNP has yet another family get together to muddle through today (Boxing Day).

False, today is nice and quiet, but we do have some relatives to see over the weekend.

TNP was pleasantly surprised by a gift they received.

Yes. My sister send me a package that included a Charlie Brown Christmas Tshirt. I love that special.

TNP is not planning any New Year’s Eve whoop-de-la-la.
