This explains some of the swelling and bruising that people have observed in recent times, and that the White House is admitting to this indicates to me that it’s a pretty bad case.
He’s deficient in so very many ways.
Be still my heart.
Not bad enough.
Hey, I never said I was sad about it!
Is it terminal? Please?
Our Wikipedia friends say this:
CVI is not a benign disorder and, with its progression, can lead to morbidity. Venous ulcers are common and very difficult to treat. Chronic venous ulcers are painful and debilitating. Even with treatment, recurrences are common if venous hypertension persists. Nearly 60% develop phlebitis which often progresses to deep vein thrombosis in more than 50% of patients. The venous insufficiency can also lead to severe hemorrhage. Surgery for CVI remains unsatisfactory despite the availability of numerous procedures
I really enjoy the “painful and debilitating” part. Does this make me a smaller person. Maybe. Don’t care, given the damage done by this guy.
@Pork_Rind , I think you’re a little ray of sunshine!
ThelmaLou sneaks a case of champagne into the back of the room.
Somewhere, I have a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
Is it time to invoke the 25th yet?
That notion is so 2018. As if anyone in that chain of authority is going to XXV slapdown ‘Glorious and Grand Führer Drumpf’.
Stranger
This is not possible, as Trump has a letter from some quack stating that he’s the healthiest man that said quack had ever examined in his entire career.
BTW, I initially read the thread title as “Chronic Venal Insufficiency”. Venality being defined as “a willingness to compromise one’s integrity or principles for personal gain, especially when entrusted with public duties or responsibilities” I was really doubtful that Trump had any shortage of it.
The problem is this. What is more likely to happen is that any such such wounds that he may develop, along with the edema, are more likely to make him more irritable and easy to anger, with consequences such as his being even more likely to lash out at his perceived enemies. That’s a lot more likely than any kind of fatal complication.
Moderating:
Mod-nudge: Our OP @nearwildheaven has put this in P&E, with a non-poisoned analysis. I know emotions about Trump are almost always at the extreme, but we’ve had quite a few comments that are more suited to the Pit. Just a very gentle suggestion to mitigate those or take them to another forum. Again, just the most gentle note. If our OP would prefer to move it to the Pit, please let me know.
Updating - with the in-thread permission of the OP, I have just moved this to the Pit. As such, this note is no longer needed, but leaving it (with strikethrough) for the record.
I told my wife about the diagnosis, and I read this description to her to help understand what’s happening to Dear Leader, and she said, “I am so turned on right now.”
I would interpret this to mean that it’s too obvious to deny. I’ve seen many pics on social media over the past few months showing Trump’s bloated ankles, asking “what’s going on here”, so they can’t continue to deny it.
Not necessarily life-threatening, but hey, could be the start of something good.
Now that’s a kink I didn’t know about. Nor did I want to.
That’s the job description of the Cabinet.
Every one of them has savored the knowledge that they hold Trump by a thread. Cut it and Vance owes his presidency entirely to them. No pesky voters, or worse donors, just them. Congressional confirmation is likely.
