Clearly these are true because they’re on the internet. You can only claim any of them as factual if you’re a member of Trump’s team because you know, Americans can’t “cyber” and check you.

Issuing an insulting Twitter storm at 3 AM shows a degree of instability totally at odds for any nation’s leader, especially that of the United States.

There are any number of hard core porno films that purport to have Alicia Machado in them. I believe the Snopes story debunking of them has already been linked somewhere in Straight Dope land, but I’m too lazy to find it. They’re all fake. Her topless photos in Playboy, however, are not.

With the dialog?

No, I’d ask for a cite on that. She’s under him, he’s between her legs thrusting rhythmically, and she’s moaning about what a magnificent cock he has. There’s no way that airs on Scandal or Grey’s Anatomy.

With silent audio - maybe. Not with her words and the visual.

It’s not at all inconsistent with the “he did coke” theory either.

I don’t endorse Trump or almost any of his tactics. Including this one.

But I don’t like sloppy argument either.

And for whatever it’s worth, I’d say there are a few exceptions to the “never” rule you propose. It’s almost never acceptable, but I bet I can name an instance where you’d agree it was understandable.

Or you could google the soft porn Donald made a cameo in.

I wonder if I can monetize my invisibility.

And you just admitted the very thing that allowed Donald Trump to run. People actually believe this bullshit. Trump is just actually taking advantage of it, while every other candidate assumes there’s a limit.

It’s called “slut shaming” and is a form of bigotry.

Yes, politics today is rather bigoted, but that doesn’t suddenly make this acceptable. And it is indeed a step further than Trump has gone before, at least, while on the campaign. Sure, he’s attacked women in the past, but he’s stuck with things that are used against both men and women, giving plausible deniability. Or given himself an out (with the bleeding thing).

Slut shaming is done primarily to women.

Not only is he not the president of the Hair Club for Men, he’s also a member!

Thank you. That is only one way of showing that he, unlike Trump, was much more than a huckster.

May I be the latest to say that Alicia Machado seems like a pleasant person who happens to look like a goddess and that her picture is in my dictionary as “just my type?” Not something I can say about any of Trump’s wives or daughters.

I don’t see how it’s any sloppier than any other post on this board, including the one I’m replying to.

The OP asserts that Trump claimed Clinton had poor judgement while himself showing poor judgement. Just because the OP didn’t unpack why Trump’s judgement was poor doesn’t make it a sloppy argument.

The OP also asserted that they didn’t see how any defense could be made for Trump’s judgement. So that opens up any counterclaim.

So far, only John Mace appears to have defended it, and Corry El hinted at the same basic defense. “All that matters is whether it works.” However, I don’t think this is a defense that people defending Trump would want to make.

Then, and I suggest this as politely as I can, put forth a tidier argument. If you don’t like this tactic, why not?

Putting forth a more specific argument, suggesting refinements, is great. Criticizing other people because their arguments don’t live up to your standards, without suggesting something better? Not as great.

I’m kind of amazed (but not really) that he’s so lacking in political acumen that he refuses to let this thing go, despite it being exactly the result that the Clinton team were hoping for. She needled him in a way that was designed to arouse his worst narcissistic impulses, and it worked marvellously.

With bleeped dialogue.

I stopped reading at that point.

Trump is incapable of saying he’s sorry—another trademark of a narcissistic personality. He must be right at all costs, even if he’s wrong. This is why he refuses to let it go. He also has come to believe his own pathological lies, and he cannot remember what is true and what he has fabricated. It is a wonder how, despite all of his rather glaring mental deficiencies, the GOP (and so many of his followers) actually believed he could be fit to hold public office. If he doesn’t have the stamina to maintain his composure for a 90 minute debate, how can he be expected to last a four year term?

Soft porn?

There’s a pill for that, Donald.

And 50 million people stand in line to vote for him afterwards. That is the depressing part.
