The article mentions it was not used widely until the 1970s, and it appears you had to get a prescription for it, too. My mom thought good ole Anacin (her analgesic of choice) was the greatest. We had the kid’s aspirin, but only for a fever.
The author’s a bit off, though. Look at how Barron is holding his head. Barron’s head and neck are slouched downward, like he’s about to go through a low doorway. Look at his chin vis à vis donald’s. He’d be at least an inch taller standing straight up. Donald is standing as tall as he can.
To be fair to the man, if I was in his position, I too would be hanging my head in shame.
Especially since he has the best skin tone ever seen. Better skin tone than any other president in history. The most enormously incredible skin tone there could ever be! People have come up to him with tears in their eyes to say, “Sir, your skin tone is an inspiration to me!”
From the Newsweek article:
But then, just three months later, Trump’s official inmate measurements from Fulton County Jail in Atlanta had him coming in at 6 feet, 3 inches and 215 pounds—meaning not only did he lose 25 pounds in three months but also grew an inch taller.
Something very wrong there. First, he was never an inmate. And second, those numbers have to be self-reported and not any kind of measurement, official or otherwise.
He absolutely believes that his makeup is perfect and nobody can tell anything is wrong with him, and anyone who says otherwise is just one of the “haters and losers”.
I was 6’1" at the end of my teenage growth spurt. I’m 43 now and I’m 5’11". I can certainly imagine him refusing to accept that he’s shrunk with time.
The whole point of the article was about how those reported numbers were BS.
I’m not sure about the “inmate” language; that could just be the terminology the county uses for the brief time he is in custody before he is released. I have no idea.
I mean, if you follow the link in the section you quoted:
It mentions:
The former president surrendered himself for processing at Fulton County Jail, in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday evening, which was estimated to have taken around 20 minutes.
He was in jail custody during those 20 minutes of processing. He might be considered an “inmate” for that brief period. Or they just use the term “inmate numbers” for every person they process.
I’ve noticed that sometimes the tallest kid in the room will develop the practice of slouching just a little bit out of self-consciousness, and they wind up doing it all their lives. It becomes a habit. It looks like Barron developed this habit. My darling late mother-in-law did this, God bless her. Michelle Obama does it, too. You can see it in her pictures. I posted a thread about that years ago.
I had thought the main deal was that he didn’t want to fall officially into the “obese” category, as defined by his BMI being over 30. Since BMI = weight/height^2, mentally giving himself a few extra inches keeps him below that number.
I think he’s probably lied about his height for most or all of his adult life. But, he wasn’t particularly heavy until the last 10-15 years, and if anything, I think he’s having his doctors fudge his publicly-stated weight numbers to specifically address that.
His 2025 official physical lists him at 6’3" and 225 pounds, with a resting heart rate of 62 bpm. If you believe any of that…
… I have a golden, ‘Made in America’ phone to sell you.
Looks like Trump is gonna need that ballroom sooner rather than later:

It’s too bad he doesn’t have a friend with a private island that he could escape to.
Sorry, you have wrong thread – this belongs in the joke thread.
Only 'cause we don;t have a fantasy thread.
Trump is going back to Walter Reed for the third “check up” in a little over a year.
I bet he aces the cognative exam again.
I’m sure he’ll show how cogint and cognazent he is.
Correction (to the article). Trump will be 80 next month if he doesn’t suffer a sudden cardiac arrest before then (due to completely natural causes and in now way accelerated by any bad actors) from his decades of unhealthy living.
I wish him well.
Or, at least, I wish him well done in the pits of hell in which he will roast.
Has there been a groundswell of politicking yet for trump’s birthday to be declared a national holiday? While he’s still POTUS that is, not posthumously.
If the always-mysterious RW “they” haven’t started pushing for that I’m a bit surprised. Just one more monument to his ego and that’ll be enough monuments. Said no narcissist dictator ever.
